The Wizrd of Oz
Noel Cruz is one of the most versatile & distinguished repaint artists in the doll community. He is most recognized for his character & celebrity based dolls due to their uncanny resemblance to the people they portray. His dolls are derived from several models like Gene, Tyler, Sydney, etc, by various doll-makers such as Robert Tonner & Franklin Mint. His repaints as well as his portraits are done with intricate detail to the point of being naturally lifelike in essence. Highly regarded among collectors and artists alike, Noel attempts to raise the bar and bring a fresh take to the common mass produced doll with every face he paints. Noel's specialty is with one of a kind repaints. The beauty of repaints is that almost no two are exactly alike just as no two artists are alike.

repainted in sea nymph in mind. using allot of realistic aspects yet keeping in mind with the mh themes very fish like eyes. with added upper and lower lashes a rosy tone to the nose and cheek areas. with more natural toned freckles to the face to pop a bit more. she has a golden head band added to the face itself giving a more regal style hair can be styled up or down. More feathered on the brows. seas blues and greens on the eye creases then onto a soft sea green in the blue family fabric with lots of beading a metal closure in back and a fire glass stone in the center of the dress its done knee length.
It's good to be home after a long trip and I've been making up for the lost time with my dolls. Remi and Minimalist Dasha arrived the day I came back but I had trouble bonding with them. After posting a FS ad and getting no replies I got one of my repainting frenzies again and the two newcomers got new looks. Remi got a repaint and hairstyling, Dasha a bodyswap to NF, hairstyling and a repaint, and Eugenia was happy to snatch up her FR2 body. She looks absolutely fabulous squared, this body just enhances the beauty of any doll that gets it.
Although taken in 2016, this photo continues a theme from 2015, the repainting of the fleet of ten First RailAir coaches from a base-white livery into a new two-tone blue scheme.
20807, one of a pair of Volvo B9R / Plaxton Panther 2 delivered in August 2011, is the penultimate repaint (only 20808 remains to appear) and, like the others, features an alliterative advertising slogan on the rear pairing a town/city served by Great Western Railway with an overseas destination - in this case "Cheltenham to Chicago". It is seen at Reading Station on Monday 4th January having just arrived from Heathrow Airport.
Of the ten RailAir coaches, six (20806-20811) are Volvo B9Rs delivered in pairs between 2011 and 2014; they are supplemented by three older Volvo B12Bs with the original style Plaxton Panther bodywork dating from 2007, and a sole Scania K114IB4 / Irizar Century dating from 2004; this type was once the staple of the route but 28315 is a surprising survivor, and even more unexpectedly it has gained the new colour scheme.
The RailAir coaches are outstationed at Reading Buses' Great Knollys Street depot, and Reading Buses (or more accurately, the parent company Reading Transport Ltd) has had a full servicing and maintenace contract for the RailAir fleet since September 2012,
Taking off her makeup was not fun. I used nail polish remover, and it just smears all over rather than lifting off easily. It eventually came off. I drew her new face on with layers of water color pencils, spraying coats of msc between layers.
First Potteries has not, unlike some other First subsidiaries, chosen to repaint its newest vehicles and leave the older ones. Perhaps almost as surprising as the Olympian was the treatment of 15-year old Dennis Dart SLF 40137 (R979 NVT) to a new coat of paint, one of only two survivors of this batch of five buses delivered to Rock Ferry on Wirral. Now it and 40136 solider on at Newcastle depot. Unusually it is seen here on service X25 (not as shown...) in Hanley.
When I saw this girl in a store I just knew I had to buy her!! ♡
(Clawdeen is my favorite scupt but Howleen is like a smaller and cuter version of her! >w<)
Repaint & clothes by me :D
Next I paint on the whites of the eyes.
This will take time!!!
You cannot rush this step. It will require a few coats of white paint to get a solid white... and you HAVE TO wait until the older coat of white is dry. otherwise... BLOTCHY!!!!
After the whites are as dark as I want them (remember, the middle of the eye will be covered with the Iris, so no need to get the whites 'perfect') I take a brown that is slightly darker than the tan I used as the eye base, and go around the whites to form the lid and pull the white out a little more.
I have caught the repaint bug!! And since I had an extra Allan doll, I decided to repaint him today. Eventually I will get a Ken repainted. I have ordered one especially to repaint. Cant wait for him to get there.
Anyway, I decided I wanted this Allan to be a blonde blue eyed boy. So, that is what I did. I mixed up a blond color that was similar to painted hair Ken's hair color, but I decided I wanted to do some highlighting and shading on the hair. I went to town doing that.
I hope you enjoy this guy. I really had fun transforming him. :)
