Early morning sun rays break through the clouds on my way to Hawaii last year

Poor Ray had an abscess on his right ear, so a visit to the vet today was required. He had an antibiotic shot and has to wear the collar for two or three days to let it heal. We'll see how well that goes! I think it may have been Pixie as she is super protective of her kittens and even though the other cats haven't gone anywhere near them, she just keeps chasing and attacking them every time she sees them move..

Mist morning rays, a drive on the country roads through the Eden valley. Gorgeous mist everywhere. I originally had this shot at a standard crop but after a good suggestion from Mark Littlejohn i chose a 5x4 crop to tighten the emphasis around the rays.

One of the more exquisite and colourful structures of Pura Meru, Mataram, Lombok, Indonesia.
Pura Meru is built in 1720 and is the largest and second most important Hindu temple on Lombok. It’s dedicated to the Hindu trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.
The entrance fee is Rp 10,000 and there will be a local guide that will bring you around the place and share its history and significance. Opening hours is from 8am to 5pm.

We decided earlier today that we would have a shoot tonight. Lady luck was on our side, as well as mother nature. Lovely sunrays coming down through the clouds. Thanks to Knøvle and Arne for a nice time :)

From that day of storm a couple sundays back. I stopped up at the Sandia casino's gas station on Tramway to look west toward the horizon.
We lost Ray peacefully today after a short illness. I found him near my garden around 2012 and we nursed him back to strength, and he lived in this treehouse for a while before moving into the house .We named him after Ray Winston as he looked a tough guy ! After posting his face in a local shop ,his owners came round and identified him as their cat but decided to leave him with us because of their changed circumstances. RIP Ray
The rays of the setting sun through the gathered clouds. The ending of a 40 degree day was welcomed with a cool change. But fires still burned over parts of the state in the Little Desert area.

July 24th - 31st, 2012 - We got home from the pendulum tour too early to quit for the summer so after a little off time to regroup, we took off on a small loop in northern New Mexico, exploring some new places and revisiting some old favorites.
Ray at Night is a monthly event in my neighborhood of North Park ~
Ray Street ( pictured here ) is full of Art Galleries and this event is to encourage patrons and artists to mingle...talk...look and maybe buy some of the artworks exposed inside the galleries and outside in the booths/tents . Paintings , sculptures , jewelry ...anything goes . Also , usually they have local bands/ musicians playing there too ;-)
