The family were enjoying the last rays of warm sunshine while others were packing up and going home.

This was taken on Cottesloe beach, Near Perth, Western Australia. It is usually a surf beach but was quite calm that day. I would still have been wary of taking a dip though as it had been the site of a shark attack quite recently.

Plenty of moisture in the atmosphere and the sun behind this cloud make for some lovely rays.

Walking past the Marian Anderson Recreation Center (a few blocks from Anderson's birthplace), I thought this man would look good in a photo with the Anderson portrait in the background. His name is Ray. He was trying to figure out how to work his new cell phone. It was a beautiful, early spring afternoon (notice that the tree in the background doesn't yet have any buds), and we both were in great moods.

Ray Bell was a major contractor with strong ties to Tennessee contracts. He lived in Brentwood and once owned Mountview.
