I really liked the shine from the rays of sun trying to get through the cloud, it was so pretty!

Fiordland is one of the most dramatic and beautiful parts of New Zealand. Carved by glaciers over 100,000 years the landscape is one where waterfalls cascade hundreds of metres into deep black fiords; where ancient rainforest clings to mountains and where shimmering lakes and granite peaks look as they did a thousand years ago. Fiordland National Park is a World Heritage Site and includes Milford, Dusky and Doubtful Sounds. Ray has decided to move on to Pixie's balcony and is looking rather guilty about it . There will be repurrcussions !
Ray's new house is like paradise at the moment as he surrounded by the wisteria at the bottom of the garden. He is looking very stern because other cats have been nosing around his domain -Pixie and the cat next door on this occasion.
Even though he looks serious, Ray is purring as he's just been served dinner on his balcony. He has the loudest purr out of all our cats.

This is Ray and it's the hottest day of the year so far ! He always arrives in the kitchen an hour early for dinner after spending the day in his summerhouse . Today it is International Cat Day .
It was pretty icy this morning.
The Jeep was glazed with ice.
Didn´t bother to do anything but sit together in the car and wait for it to melt.
Somehow, all the ice melted unusually quickly...

Want to take this time to wish all of my Flickr friends a Happy Thanksgiving!! I know that it is really an American Holiday but we pause and give thanks for the many blessings that we have received this year!! In spite of the difficulties that we have had this year we still have so much to be thankful for!! Most of all am thankful for the many friends that I have both here on Flickr and those that stand by me when times get tough!! I am blessed to live in a place where we have such an abundance! A huge thank you for each and every one of my Flickr friends for your support and for your comments! Have a wonderful and blessed day!
Some of you will know that I am no fan of Explore and so make no big deal about it!! I take each photo one at a time and find many more photos that should be recognized!! I would normally change the settings so that most people can't see the photo but since it is Thanksgiving I'll let it be this one time! Happy Thanksgiving once again!!

CN 4129 & CN 4700 are backing up to Ray-Mont Logistics to pick up empty grain cars. This client is located adjacent to CN's Montreal Sub and Pointe St-Charles Yard and grain is transloaded here for further shipment.
The very start of the action on Wednesday night as with rays forming on the aurora arc, and banded structures develop to the northeast. This two shot panorama was taken using a Samyang 14mm lens and switched using hugin.
Ray was just east of the Madison Street bridge. He was in West Chicago, but then moved to Oak Park to help his mom, who needed care. When she passed away, he didn't have the funds to maintain the house and was left homeless. He's been out here three months. At one point, Ray had 10-12K in savings. He said homeless could happen to any of us. "I didn't think it would be me." The ironic part of it is that before he became homeless, he was volunteering his time at a homeless shelter, "Lazarus House". Lately, he's been working with a temp agency to find work. He's doing his best to make money for his son, niece, and nephew. "Things will turn around", he said.
Sunset from last year over the local reservoir, the sun just caught the gap in the passing cloud at the right time to give off the rays & shadows.
