sunset after a storm

A beautiful misty morning in the Eden Valley, so many images to be had today. This the first one of the day, a bit of height in the valley allowing me to get some of the sunlight piercing through the trees. One of those times where you just have to stop when confronted with this type of view.

I took this photo from the highest point of the island of Hvar, sv. Nikola, 628 m above the sea level after hiking, should I say climbing :) for some hour and a half to reach a votive chapel, perching on its top and serving as a yearly pilgrimage destination for the locals. I started from the mountain's foot in the early dawn of that prime summer day in 2007 and by the time I made it to the summit the scorching rays of the sun were in their full bliss. All over the steep slopes, scattered with the spectacular climbing cliffs, the vineyards studding the landscape parched by the reflections of sun's dazzling radiance off the vast expanse of water, are nestled growing the famous Plavac red wine grapes. Enjoy the view!...:)

It feels like I haven't been out with my camera for weeks. Well, I haven't! I'm so looking forward to kinder weather to come. This is another image from an early morning at Marazion in January.

So, I was in a BAD mood today. Had been told off for attempting to fix a situation. So, I did what comes natural, grabbed my photo gear, ran up into the mountains and captured some interesting photos. This one has been cropped, I used a program to layer three images on top of one another for a decent bracketed exposure and I think those crepuscular rays look pretty decent :D

The old saying of taking one last look before finishing paid dividends this morning, just when I was about to walk away from the harbour at Lyme Regis, I took a look over my shoulder and spotted the beautiful display of sunrays over Charmouth further along the coast

'Het Speulderbos' is called ' the forest of the dancing trees'. The forest is not just mysterious, it is also very rare. It's a paradise for birds (of prey), deer, badgers and wild boars. So there is enough choice to have a good time!

Just stopping in to say thanks to everyone for being such great flickr friends!! I found out that I won't have to drop that class after all! My professor understood what happened and let me submit my assignment late so my grades are fine!! You all have no idea how happy that made me!!

Anyway, I'm off to go birthday shopping for my son who is turning 12 years old on Wednesday!! I don't know where the time goes.....
