Posting this black & white Skagit scene to show my home community in a way few dare to look at my Skagitonia. Thoughts welcome.

Hey it's @kevinkuster posting an special announcement you are gonna love!

Some people are always quick to say "I hate corporate sponsors, I hate their involvement and I hate adverting." I too can get so annoyed with it at times, however, when it is done right, in a collaborative manor and with sincerity, I believe it can serve both parties.

It's easy to forget that companies and sponsors are made up individuals just like you and me. Corporate employees have hearts, families, bills, struggles, likes, dislikes and all kinds of feelings. Again just like you and me.

When Dov from @polaroidfotobar, read about Emily and Emma fire crisis, he sent me a text right away and said "what can we do to help her?" (Emily @ohemg87 has been doing a lot of behind the scenes work on our Polaroid event even during her time struggle.) We talked and I asked him if they would be willing to create a special Emily Fund raiser on Polaroid FOTOBAR products. He said yes right away!

Starting right now, if you click on the UNIQUE link in Josh's profile above 30% of all purchases made through that link will go to a special Emily and Emma fund. That's right, 30% of all sales will be donated to Emily and Emma to help them during this difficult time!

Now is a great time to print those photos you want to display in your house. Heck, Mothers Day is right around the corner and I know your mom or wife would love a great framed print of her children or grandchildren as a gift!

This special offer lasts till this Sunday March 9th, ending at midnight central standard time, US.

@polaroidfotobar has fantastic products and if you have never tried them, I promise you will love them. Plus, you will get to spread a little more jj love on Emily and Emma.

Please feel free to repost this offer. You have to use the UNIQUE link in Josh's profile for Polaroid to track sales and give 30% of all sales to the Emily and Emma fund!

Now get going, click on that special unique link above, buy some great stuff and spread some more love!

If you don't have any printing needs but still want contribute directly, please go to my user profile @kevinkuster for a one click donation link.

We like sending postcards to Reg.

We don't need an excuse like being on holiday, no. If we've been shopping for groceries, or even if we've watched some telly, we'll send Reg a postcard about it.

To read the card, best clicky here then.

Still needs a ton of work. Will be posting updated version tomorrow.

I couldn't resist posting this in light of the fascinating discussion for the previous image.

Posting this Facebook Post for people who are not on FB or online often -- just for the record.

NOAH MANDEL DECEMBER 1,1971--JANUARY 30, 2016

We are in deep sadness and mourning today January 30th, 7 years after the death of our only son Noah. We remember him with tenderness and unconditional love. We think of the love and kindness he gave to so many people in this world during his 44 years.

We read EVERY word of every post, and email through a river of tears, excruciating pain, and deep sorrow.

We will NEVER forget the continued caring and kindness expressed to us by all of Noah's friends, family, and co-workers through email, chat, phone calls, and in person here in New York.

Everything in this dealership is about "Power"!

Took 148 shots.

Thought to do an abstract to try to include as many "Power" machines as possible.

The vehicle that is being used to reflect on is, in the words of the salesman "the most powerful Bently sportswear made.

The Blue car is a Lamborghini.

The silver car is an Audi Sports car.

Far left rear is a Harley Davidson motorcycle. Power, Power and more Power.

Used a 1.0 sec. exposure at w/f7.1

To get the colors out of the reflected images I had to crank up the exposure when editing. Did most editing in Bridge. Finished in Photoshop Sharping and finishing with a Gaussian Blur to soften it up. Wasn't sure whether to use the blur. Some would, some not.

Thanks for stopping by and view this photo. The reason for posting this photo on Flickr is to learn so if you have constructive feedback regarding what I could do better and / or what should I try, drop me a note I would love to hear your input.

View on Black the way it should be seen!

posting this because i love those people that hate staying on the road in yellowstone, but they miss all the insane stuff like the bison mother and child backing cars across bridges because they are unwilling to move or the grizzly swatting trout out of a stream during the spawn.

i think this park, which is one of our nation's best ideas ever, is the closest thing you'll ever get to an african safari in north america.

The Little Dumbbell in Perseus. And yes, it is little. Total of 35 minutes exposure with the 80mm f/7.5 ED doublet. Cropped about 50%, but the nebula is still small. Compare it to images of M27 or even M57 to see the contrast. Also look in my Messier album to see how it appeared in the 12 inch f/5 several years ago.
