Posting as a model for testing the camera settings

#TP140 (Take a photograph that contains something that was in a previous photograph from 8 days ago )

My husband knows how to cook only one speciality....popcorn. He pops it in an old popper that has a long handle and sits on a stand. He has it down to a science, filling three large plastic bowls, then filling bags and delivering them to friends. Today he popped some for my friend who was coming over to visit for the first time since her cancer has returned.

“Photography is about capturing beautiful soul”..💫

And Ash I must say you captured beautiful souls so beautifully. Thank You Ash Naidoo Alpha Creative for exclusive photoshoots of Mrs India South Africa 2018 Queen Dr Saumya Tiwari Gautam & Natasha Nayager - Brand Ambassador-Glow TV Mrs India South Africa

Irelevant postings of panned shots in the grand scheme but this one still bugs me after a year. How did the horse blur, but the eye caught in the photo finish mirror stay sharp? No editing ,its as shot. I did foal down her Mum and I also had an interest in her winning, so I sometimes like to think that she's looking at the me and thanking me!! Daft git that I am! But seriously, if anyone can enlighten me on this new physics I'm all ears.

I continue to work on posting Flickr album summaries of some of my earlier salt pond sessions. This album contains images from March 1, 2015 and represents the last photographs from that season as my permit restricts access to the salt ponds from March through August.

I have been photographing the former salt ponds on Station Island since 2008 or so. That start was just two years after the southern levees of Salt Ponds A20 and A21 were breached to allow what was once a salt evaporation impoundment to be connected to the tides again. In 2008, the pond bottoms presented at low tide as a bare plain of broken gypsum, a byproduct of the salt pond process. As the years progressed sediment started to accumulate, marsh vegetation took root, and the ponds began the slow process of becoming marsh again.

This set of photographs started with a walk along the north levee of Salt Pond A21 around the pond to the levee breaches connecting A21 to Coyote Creek. I then retraced my steps along the north levee to the abandoned hamlet of Drawbridge where I was able to photograph former Salt Pond A20 as well.

I am taking these documentary photographs under a Special Use Permit from the Don Edwards National Wildlife Refuge. Kite flying is prohibited over Drawbridge as is access to this part of the Don Edwards National Wildlife Refuge without a Special Use Permit.

For the Asks and Offers session

I apologize for posting so many at once, but I have two wildflower albums to feed; "East Tennessee Wildflower" and "Spring Colors". I have quite an extensive collection of wildflowers in both, IF you are ever out and get stumped on what something is called.

Just scroll down and watch for colors to pass and I'm sure you'll find your answer.

Some are repeats, but with a new camera I try each season to get better shots of each type.

My postings here have fallen further behind. This batch is over a year ago. I will attempt to catch up as my time permits. Please continue to check in as I slowly catch up.

Merrell makes these to compete with Crocs, although you probably see 100 pairs (or even 1000) of Crocs for every pair of these you see. But I prefer these to Crocs. They are more comfortable and, to me more stylish. So I purchased a number of pair at the end of last summer when these photos were taken.

I bought one pair of every size from a very small Y13 (they call it K'S 13 to size 6 (They call that K's 6). Each pair is a different color. My feet are supposedly a 7, but the 6's felt a little loose, so I didn't get a pair of 7's

One advantage of rubber shoes is that the rubber can stretch to fit, and these are quite stretchy. The Y13 toebox stretches over my toes but is narrow enough to be very tight, and my heels are hanging out, bending the rubber heel counter down. I doubted I'd be able to routinely wear Y12's so I didn't get anything smaller than Y13.

They make these in a Crocs style closed toe "clog" and an open toe slipper. I bought one pair of slippers, but prefer the clogs for everyday wear.

As I said, I find them more comfortable than Crocs. The soles are more "bouncy", particularly the heels, and the rubber uppers are thinner, both looking more attractive and stretching to fit my feet more.

I've found the Y4s to fit me the way I like most, I wear them most often. I also wear the Y13s and Y1s just because I can, and like how small they look on my already small feet.

The way we look at life is important. Though I say that I'm getting caught up, I really was never behind. I was just on my own path, and sometimes life experiences are worth their weight in gold.

A bit late in posting this, I was waiting for my Disney World uploads to finish, and I fell asleep. Lo and behold, there was an error and by the time I woke up, it was already past midnight. Oopsie~ This photo was taken on the 4th though, rest assured (^—^)b

So there it is, my accumulated weekly GTA transportation passes for the previous year. They just raised the cost of these and now they're $5 dollars more. Probably another incentive to get my license back. Now that the strike is over, maybe I'll finally get to start over again this year? And as always, along with everything else... I need to find time to pick up the book and review again.

Don't get me wrong, it's not like I hate commuting. In fact, I think if I did I would've gotten my license back a while ago right? Haha. It's just really inconvenient when it's freezing out and when you need to catch routes that don't run as often as others, not to mention when you need to transfer multiple times.

Hopefully this will be the last year I need to buy these every week. We'll see! Let's keep our fingers crossed.

I cook every night because I believe it's one of the best things I can do for our health. Last night, I noticed the red glow of the burner under the wok, and the steam rising from the vibrant green spinach.
