Cathy Patella posting the activities board for the following day at the student center. This was one of the duties of the front desk attendent.
My postings here have fallen further behind. This batch is over a year ago. I will attempt to catch up as my time permits. Please continue to check in as I slowly catch up..
Several of my pair of Flip Flops were dissitegrating (except the clunky Walmart 88 cent ones), so I kept my eyes open and restocked.
I liked these as the soles were relatively thin and soft and the straps were narrow, I later found another pair in the Caribbean, same design but different artwork, supposedly the same ("S") size but a half inch shorter. But those must have sat unsold forever because the first time I wore them, the foam soles started to crack and compressed to a paper thin layer under my heels. However that pair (which will be posted later) is to me more comfortable because they have conformed to my soles, I'll wear that pair until they totally disintegrate and then start wearing these.
Hi, everybody, we're back! And I took a gadzillion pictures. Will be posting them in batches for quite some time, as I get them uploaded and ready.
Niagra Falls wasn't even in our original plans, but we found we made better time than we expected, so had an extra day before we could check into our cabin in the Adirondacks. We realized this as we were approaching Buffalo. So we thought, hey, let's spend a day at Niagra!
Was a great idea, and I'm very glad we went. However, I'd love to go back some time during the off season, or almost any time except when we went--on the Fourth of July weekend! It hadn't occurred to us how insanely crowded it would be--duh! And we had to pay way too much for our motel room--all the prices were about doubled, and even so, we were lucky to even find a room on such short notice. The falls was spectacular of course. The evening of the third we signed up for a guided tour on the Fourth, figuring that we'd see more with less stress, and that was a good decision. But the lines for some of the experiences were AWFUL! Still, it's an amazing experience which I wouldn't have missed for anything.
This first set of pictures is from that first night. The falls are lit up at night and it's quite beautiful. Pictures of that have been taken by MUCH better photographers than me, for sure, but anyway, here are some of mine. The pictures from the next day came out better: I'll be posting those soon.
I'll also try to start catching up with all you wonderful people!
i have been watching all these parkour vids lately. i'm sort of in my yoga years, but this shit is cool:

I am posting a portion of my vinatge patch collection on eBay. None of the patches are new reproductions; they are all original. Most of them, if not all, are in unused condition. The majority of my patches are from the 1960's, 1970's, and 1980's. The majority are from the 1970's. A very small amount may be from the 1950's or earlier. A small amount from the 1960's and 1980's. There are very few, if any, from the 1990's. There is a 99% chance each patch was produced 15 or more years ago. Most of the patches are affiliated with government, security, shooting, boy scouts, Chicago, Illinois, and Cook County.
Please use photos to judge approximate size and condition. Look closely to see if the patch is a sew-on or iron-on. If you have any questions, concerns or comments please send me a message prior to bidding.

Posting this is just an excuse for having a link to this, over-the-top thing. Proceed at your own risk- if you can stomach it, it is funny in a way...the chihuahua is a crowning touch...It gets funnier as it goes- the dance of the Monkeybird with the chihuahua (starting about 2:25) is not to be missed. 1964 I believe...Oh, and I dig Rocky Roberts' shoes. Very klassy & kool.
Just posting some photos I took of wildflowers in the past week or two. No need to comment on them all - I just wanted to add them to my Wildflower Set. I hope to photograph as many wildflowers of Ontario (especially from this area) as I can.
