This is another image from my archive that I have kept but did not post till now. I am "housecleaning" and deleteing many old images, but occaisionally find one like this that I thought I might be worth posting.

Posting this for my brothers 50th birthday. He took this with my camera on North Uist. He was in the passengers seat which meant he was a little closer to the bird so I passed him the camera to have a go.

We must have seen 3 or 4 of these every day, at anytime during the day, and on other days more. You can see that this one has eaten very recently by the blood stains around the beak.

check out Dragonflydreams88, Sher and I went on this adventure together and I'm sure she will be posting her images....awesome trip.

Im just getting around to going through my Butterfly & Dragonfly images from the summer so forgive me for posting older images.

from the Bayard Cutting Arboretum...

This garden boasts over 1,300 dahlias plants with 300 varieties. Dahlias come in a variety of colors and forms. You will find the large “dinner-plate” size dahlias to the tiny ball dahlias, with all varieties in-between. From a single color to variegated to blends, this stunning garden displays the full range of colors of the dahlias and is amazing to see in person!!

Since I went crazy clicking so many, I will be posting 3 at a time just for you to see the beauty of these flowers!!

Thank you for looking....

Looking Close on Friday: objects in pastel colours

I've always loved the pastel scenes my Flickr friends post. I found this really difficult so if anybody wishes to share a little expertise with me, that would be very welcome!

gratitude for all visits, faves and comments

To my Flickr friends, I have to apologize for being so neglectful with posting and viewing posts. I have a lot of catching up to do! Can't wait to start going through your wonderful images.

A stunning sunset from earlier this month. Kind of an idiot-proof shot! :)

Posting late as I had rehearsal in Guelph tonight. On top of that, I could not find a fence shot. So I was on a mad search when I came home. Night night.

Happy Fence Friday

Shot on iPhone 13 Pro.

Just to mix it up, I’m not posting the pic of Gizmo playing on the beach today (although it was a close call :-)

But this is the sunset Giz and I admired on our afternoon second walk.

Its my wedding anniversary tomorrow and i thought I would celebrate by posting a photograph of a recently married couple, who like myself (many years ago ) are starting on a journey. One that I have loved and still love.

Well, I think it’s time to begin with posting several images I made during my stay in Asturias (Spain) some weeks ago. I made this shot here at a very iconic beach called „Gueirua“ one rainy afternoon. A single long exposure shot which I found very difficult to make as I was cleaning the lenses all the time due to the rain! And more it was not so comfortable to stay balanced over the rocks and stones during a heavy wind and rain, cleaning all the time the lenses and at the same time trying not to fall into the sea with all my equipment :-) But it was so rewarding to be there and I could’t care less about the weather … I was so happy to finally, finally, finally to see the sea again after so much time as I have no sea in my country :-)

Wow, amazing weekend to listen to classic rock songs and splash colors.

Unfortunately I have to create almost 8 big size paintings within 10th of this month. I don’t know how I will do it but I am trying my best working day and night.

Unfortunate thing is I hurt my leg badly and I was not able to walk. But now im ok. I won’t be able to invite anybody from entertainment industry but I can visit press club. Something is better than nothing.

I was feeling bored and just thought of doing this portrait few days back.

As it is past midnight here, I am busy splashing colors and I thought why not post this image.

Another 7 paintings to go and probably within an hour I will finish the abstract painting. Hopefully I will be posting it after my exhibition. Tomorrow is Sunday. I am planning to call the person who can take me to the person from entertainment industry if he is available. Let me hope for the best.

Happy weekend to all my flickr friends.

Enjoy your Easter, Everyone. I'm going to take a break from posting for a while as I'm very, very tired.

Thank you to those who have made me their contact. Due to poor health, eye problems and low energy I regret I can't take on any new contacts but nearly always manage to reply to your comments. Please no more than 1 invite.

I'm posting this because I for one has never seen this behavior with this species. They are usually at waters edge, in or very near the water, just a recorded image.

Have a great day, and thank you for stopping by.

While everyone else is photographing Spring .... those of us in northern Canada are still posting winter scenes. :)

While waiting for our meal (previous posting), I walked two to three meters over onto the ramp up the merchants' bridge (Krämerbrücke), between two arches, one above me and one behind. I got this shot of a smartphone photog getting his shot. But the contrast between the dark rampway and the bright September sun was extreme, and the shot seemed not really unusable. So I fooled with it in Lightroom, increasing exposure overall and decreasing it on the bright spots. It's a bit strange, but maybe interesting. [OLY03433_lr_3000]

Thank you all for your clicks, comments and faves.

Posting after a while, life has been unforgiving and busy but bear with me hopefully I will be back soon into clicking more often.

Happy New Year

NZ 2012

Shall be posting an Image a day for the next year, 365 (or 366 if it is a Leap year...not checked!!).

The Format will be different...some images have been shown before, some are new...... At the moment I am now starting a "New" Project.....Well it is "New" for me, although it has been done before by many, many People too!!!.

I will follow the direction I have chosen but there is plenty of room for me to chop and change at a later date...I guess it depends how I feel about it at a later date.

This Project will now give me the time to work with other ideas I am playing with. There will still be months in which I post other pics too from themes I have worked with in the past......I have just made a little more time and space available to me.

So hope you like the changes.......

Posting this a little bit early so I can take a break for the holidays! This combo will be out on the 25th @ Uber.

Both skirt and top come in 8 individual colours and as always in 2 small colour packs of 4 with savings of 50%.

Both are available in sizes for Maitreya, Belleza Isis & Freya, SLink Physique & Hourglass and TMP.

From The Washington Trails Association:

There’s nothing like a lazy beach stroll — and nothing quite like wandering on the spectacularly scenic Olympic Coast.

This hike begins at the Rialto Beach parking area. Your trail is the beach itself and the two mile walk to Hole-in-the-Wall is filled with attractions. Look south to the forested James and Little James islands, while waves crash over Gunsight Rock and numerous offshore sea stacks. Heading north on the beach, walk over sand, rock and driftwood.

Along the way, watch for all manner of wildlife: spy whales, sea lions and otters offshore, while a variety of seabirds drift overhead, and eagles perch in the forest upslope. After a mile, cross Ellen Creek; there may be a log crossing, or you may have to get your feet wet. Continue northward, with Hole-in-the-Wall soon coming into view.

If the tide is out, scramble through the rocky arch and explore the adjacent tide pools, teeming with small oceanic critters. If the tide is in, use the overland trail above the arch and take in panoramic views southward over this picturesque scene.

Re-posting as Flickr has been having problems. They say that these should be posting okay now.

Believe it or not, it was a glorious day on Mull when I found this family. Searching up and down the loch in the sun but no sign of any otters. Thought I would search in the only shaded part and bingo.

In order not to spook them, it took over an hour to get in position for them to accept me. Thought I had blown it at one stage as I slipped on one of the boulders and I knew I would be heard. Think they just looked at me and probably thought - it's only that idiot again and they carried on playing. I just love otters and cannot spend enough time with them.

Many thanks as alway for your comments and faves. Much appreciated.

Catching up with my weekly postings from earlier this year...

I could not resist posting this photo of a Robber Crab, also known properly as Coconut Crab. Christmas Island has the largest protected population of these giant crustaceans, and they are just magnificent. As much as the island is most famous for its red crabs, robber crabs were my absolute favourites.

They feed mostly on fleshy fruits, nuts, seeds, but they will eat other organic matter if they can get their claws on it. Anything left unattended on the ground is a potential source of food, which they will investigate and often carry away – thereby getting the alternative name of "robber crab".

Photography like art is very subjective, images that do well on social media at for me are not usually my favourites. For example I know this woodland photo I’m posting now will not go down half as well as lets say the wave I posted a couple of days ago. That photo had dynamics stunning light and drama, todays photo has none of that. However for me this photo is far more fulfilling in every aspect, the day, the subject, the craft in the composition and the result. I could look at this image many times and not get bored, I couldn’t say that about many of my more dramatic seascapes. Did I start this piece and say photography is subjective I probably meant to say personal, because that is where empathy start within the persons heart. Is this one oak or three?

posting it once again with a new piece of music with the same title -

I'm posting this one as a bit of an oddity. You will see many shots taken from the southern bank of Loch Maree, often with Slioch included - see a few shots back in my photos to see what I mean. You rarely see shots taken from the north side, and the reason is that there is no road, the closest is this track. This side of the loch is isolated and it feels that way, but the views are good! The mountains on the far side of the loch are (left to right) - Beinn Eighe (several of the tops visible above the light mist); Liathach; Beinn Eoin dominant in the centre; Beinn Alligin; and lasly the great bulk of Baosbheinn.

After posting lots of Eurasian shots recently I must add the American version which payed a brief visit to Fife in November last year. It was on a small pond although quite distant and the light was anything but perfect with a low raking light at about 90 degrees. It was nice to get the two Wigeons a couple of days apart.

I am here posting. But I am hearing the H-hour is 6:00pm!! OK, guys, at your 6:00pm sharp post a shot ;))

Iris, besides being a lovely flower that can be found in myriad shapes and hues, was the Goddess of the Rainbow.

- posting for Mosaic Montage Monday: bright tones

thank you for all your visits to my photostream

I'm posting my comment on this photo a day after because I didn't want to break the magic of the pic , sadly this is the last time Holly will swim in this lake that was built to cover a dump ,( just found that out )

Since I took this pic the level of the water as lower a full 2 feet , it will soon become a mosquito infected swamp , I am shock to see the level of pollution I have discovered in my forest.

That evolution don't affect us all as human bean is sad , I really wish I could go back in time and see Canada just 500 years ago :o(
