Another star cluster captured with the 80mm Orion f/7.5 ED doublet riding on the G11 mount. Total of 40 minutes of capture time. NGC1245 is located near the center of Perseus and is embedded (beyond) the five degree diameter cluster 2720 along with Mel 20 (aka Alpha Per Cluster). Mel20 is believed to be 50-70 million years old, while 2720 is believed to be 5 billion years old, roughly 1/3 the age of the universe. Both Mel 20 and 2720 are about 500-600 lightyears distant, while NGC1245 is 9,800 lightyears away and about 1 billion years old.
Imagine our delight when we docked in Falmouth, Cornwall, one April and were greeted with a gloriously sunny day!
You could 'tramp' from one end of the United Kingdom to the other if you wanted to.

A certificate of posting of a registered postal packet. This was in a collection of documents my late brother had amassed, mainly dating from the early 1900s to the early 1930s. The reverse gives details of limits of compensation.

This is the Ottawa War Memorial. I meant to double expose it, but apparently, I managed to triple it. I think it works really well here. It was a heavily overcast day, and getting late as well, so there wasn't much light for the Holga's single shutter speed to capture. I like the fact that it's silhouetted the sculpture, adding to the idea that for many of us, war is full of just nameless soldiers fighting for a cause.
I have a series of shots from this same roll, but am unsure about posting them. Do you want to see more, or have you had enough of this lo-fi crap? Maybe I'll just post them to my blog. (If you check now, and they're not up, check back later. I have to brave some winter weather now to get an errand done)

Merrell makes several series of nifty shoes. These are the "barefoot" series, thin soles, zero lift, great running or hiking shoes. This particular pair is the "Lithe Glove" model, woman's size 8, a good fit for me.
I've worn them often, and one weakness of these older ones is that the glue holding the sole on fails. Here, the toes are "talking", dangling and often folding underneath.
In the year since these photos were taken, the out/mid soles have broken off at the toes, and are loose in the entire forefoot and again at the rear of the heel. Watch for newer photos, where they are becoming true "barefoot" shoes.

The awesome picture above was submitted by @virus211 few days ago. It looks chaotic but oh so beautiful. I can even hear the kids (probably strangers) enjoying the cool water on a hot summer day.
So give me your beautiful but chaotic depiction of life, because let's admit it, there is exquisite beauty in chaos if we just look at it differently.
