One hole was coated with graphite to start the process... other hole was unaltered.
Didnt have any CuSO4 handy so had to make a solution of copper by striping down copper wire. Added lots of impurities to the solution. But wanted to try the conductive hole activation right away.

There are 3 different rice puddings done 3 different ways, in the stove and 2 different types that were made on the stove top. I don't really like rice pudding... but I like rice.
Here I have plated (electroformed) copper onto this lightbulb, sofar this is my best success, although although plating stopped when the graphite washed away at the neck, I may need to afix a wire to the deposited copper to get it to continue. i tried re-applying glue and graphite first.

Day 58: Received my gold piece back from re-plating. I am pleased this time that it has come back undamaged with everything still intact! Overall it is a vast improvement on what it was, yet I am a little disappointed that the new claw settings are not as well finished as the rest of the piece. The gold does not look as shiny, but maybe I can do something about this in the studio tomorrow. We shall see... Also from where I had to repair the piece some of the gold from before has lifted up when it melted causing very small raised bumps. However there is nothing that I could have done about this, as before the error with the plating there was a smooth surface.
