Blanket your special girl's doll in beauty with a colorful checkerboard quilt made with 7 Riviera fabrics. The palette was inspired by the seaside carnival atmosphere of the French Riviera in bold shades of red, turquoise, white, watermelon, chartreuse and yellow. A guaranteed doll bed brightener! The quilt stitching is “in-the-ditch” so as not to take any attention away from the gorgeous fabrics, and the back is 100% white cotton. At 12” x 14”, it’s the perfect size for larger dolls, like American Girl. Machine washable and dryable, this lovable quilt for dolly will be a special gift for any sweet girl! This doll quilt is available for sale at www.quiltedlovelies.com/readymade5.html.

Block 11 from the Layer Cake Quilt Along.

Not hugely happy with this one. I have buggered up the seam allowances in the middle so the blocks have ended up different sizes; and I think my first choice of fabrics would have worked out better than the ones I swapped in because I thought there wasn't enough contrast. Never mind. Learning experience...

Trying out an on point look.

I've finally started on my totally scrappy quilt made of 2.5 inch squares and am loving it --uglies and all.

mmmm, these colours are doing it for me. Plus vintage scraps.

I have a bunch of projects that I'm working on and just feel kind of unsure about. So as I dug in my scraps for something else I decided do so a bit of improv. That always makes me happy!

My first patchwork and quilted project ever. Started out with precut samplers of Tilda fabrics. I used up all but 2 of the precut squares ending up with a small kiddie blanket of 7 x 12 squares.

Quilt top: 84 squares 11.5 x 11.5 cm

Backing: dotted cotton fabric

Binding: turquoise cotton

Batting: polyester

Star quilting. Still the binding to do.

Capa 14'', confeccionada com tecidos 100% algodão pré-lavados (não encolhe), aplique de flores e estruturada com manta acrílica.

Made using fabrics from my scrap stash. Scraps were sewn together then I cut the circle and pieced it into the linen background.

Handmade by me, for my shop!

Caught my eye so I took a few photos. As shot.
