I've been toying with the idea of making one of these in my size, so I was testing to see how I like the patchwork look - turns out I love it! Blogged here.

I just made a potholder from the butterfly.

Finished the first Christmas present this week! A quilted patchwork pillow for Michael! His favorite colors are orange and blue and he's always complaining about his pillows. Now he'll have a nice big quilted one! :)

Blue Arabesque, Large Patchwork Quilt, created with Amy Butler fabrics from many of her collections. One of my larger quilts measuring a generous 62" x 72". Backed with more Amy Bulter fabrics plus a bit of Kona Ash. Bound with a Parson Gray fabric from the Curious Nature collection.

As this is for my baby girl, I didn't use wadding. I opted for a thick cotton flannelette backing.

I did not use Linen, but I love this pattern. It was VERY time consuming to cut out all of the pieces, but the end result is well worth it!
