Another image from the Kilbrannish Looped Walk. As previously mentioned the weather was certainly diverse and unpredictable. Showers all around us but not one fell on us. It did provide dramatic patchwork effect on the landscape as seen here.
Crops including rice, growing near Sembalun Lawang village, Lombok, Indonesia. The rice which is ready to harvest is yellow. The fields are also near traditional Sasak ethnic houses.

These tents are installed on the third-largest Muslim holiday BISWA IJTEMA. This closed area only for Muslim believers. Only men can go in there. Women pray in other areas. Believers from all over come here and live there and pray for 3 days. For them, there is the same prepare a special meal. All go with his blanket. Taking photographs is prohibited there. Just climbing on top of a five-storey unfinished house, which was nearby, it was possible to remove the general plan. During holiday time in this place is going to about 4 million believers.
Blogged at www.tallgrassprairiestudio.blogspot.com. Pieced leftover squares from the Zig Zag quilt with a bit of ribbon. Machine quilted in a wandering pattern.
School starts tomorrow and I need a large tote to carry books and binders. This tote is very roomy. Used up the large scarps from the scarp bin.
I used many S.K. large scraps in this tote. I think I have just spoiled myself with a new tote and a new semester!
oh yes, they are real, I didn't photoshop them either, except for the crop and drop shadow. I counted about 300 roses, neatly arranged for a plant show
Finished the quilt top due to a rare weekend nap by my 3 year old!
I pieced this right after my string quilt when all the leftover stripes were laying about. I laid out the triangles in various ways and like this one the best. I came up with this triangle idea a while ago and had been itching to try it out. Blocks are 10.5".
Only scraps were used to make this quilt which is why some of the color strips are pieced. The white is from a 100% cotton bed sheet.
took a moment to steal a quick detail shot during deanna's photo shoot on saturday. loving the texture of that wall with all that yummy late afternoon light.
I worried that the cute little puffy pouch was a tad too little... so I may have overcompensated. This pouch is made using Keyka Lou's Strap Clutch pattern, and was inspired by the adorable patchwork clutch made by VeryKerryBerry in the last swap round. What's better than a red and white clutch from your Canadian Secret Swap Partner?
Porcelain Patchwork by Narin Kantawong:
"I was fascinated by the ancient Chinese Porcelain vases and wanted to re-create the broken pieces patched together. Like putting together a new story, new values and feelings through times."
