This was a test to see if I could make a crazy patchwork cushion from odds and ends of vintage hand embroidered fabrics.
It's not usually my style but I loved having a go.

This was the perfect block for the girls to learn to quilt on. It is a stitch and flip design. The middle triangle is the starting point with a 13 inch muslin backing block. It took two activity nights to finish, but it was worth it.
Um projeto lindo, com a técnica virada da agulha, já foram 20, agora so faltam 16.
Isso foi resultado de uma semana de pé imobilizado, só não terminei por que faltou tecido neutrinho.
Projeto de Alice Buchheiste
Finished and appliqued onto it's background. I've seen many of these pieced recently, mostly with 20 blades... I wanted to do a 16 blade version and had to draw it all up, ho-hum.
Does anyone know what this fabric range is called? I was given this lovely selection and there were no selvedges to check!

Hello partner!
I'm so sorry I am so far behind, but here are some lovely bits & pieces for inspiration
When I was making this mosaic there were two thoughts I had:
1) I really don't like orange, at all... but there's a lot of orange here, so please ignore the organeyness... imagine how totally fabulous these oranges would be replaced by aqua & red (my all-time fav combo!)
2) I really love detail... I didn't really notice this before, but I love all the wee stitchery effects..
Hopefully this will give you some sort of idea of what I love & am inspired by....
Thanks so much
Patchwork scarf made of brightly-colored fabrics and quilted with zig zag stitch. Two layers of cotton fabrics with one layer of flannel in the middle. Edged with bias tape I made using my new bias tape maker. It measures approximately 5" wide and approximately 64" long. This is the first sewing project I have completed in a very long time!
Minha primeira bolsa! Deu muito trabalho, mas valeu a pena... Além de ficar linda, é muuuuuuuuuuuuito últil para transportar todo o material par a aula da Regina Saldias!
This quilt is made of equilateral triangles - white and coloured, alternating. It is actually square.
The patches in this blanket were all knitted or crocheted by the members of my dog forum - some actually by me. I sowed them all together, put on backing material to keep everything in place and then sewed the fleece onto the back to make everything a little thicker and cosier. All hand-stitched.
The blanket was a present for my vet friend, Irina, in Bucharest.
She was thrilled to bits.
