Fields of corn half harvested and framed by changing tree colors; seen on our driving/hiking day trip to southwestern Wisconsin....couldn't have been a more perfect day.

Today was jacket-weather but still a beauty!

Enjoy the weekend yourselves, flickr friends....thanks very much for your visit....Pat...xo

Patchwork mirror -Taken on 27-10-2019 in Hong Kong,

Fields at Cliddesden, Hampshire in the evening light. As the sun sank and lent its light to the fields, I was amazed at the different colours which made a wonderful patchwork quilt of nature.

Lest you miss it (I did when shooting) something seems to be lurking in front of the 3rd pane from the right on the bottom row.*

Interesting how broken panes were replaced over the years with whatever glass was at hand. Somehow the panes that are still broken add to the beauty and mystery..

*Upon closer inspection, it is not a creature, but a wooden handled black brush, turned bristles up.

I regret not having taken a photo of this stone wall before "improvements" were made. ;-)

Come and join us with your wall photos on a Wednesday!

Have a great day, everyone!

PS Edit: The three pipes are for drainage. They filled up the area behind the wall. :-)

Another later with the 'happiness' fabric.

The forest consists of Karamatsu (Japanese larch), Akamatsu (Japanese red pine), Sugi (Japanese cedar although it belongs to the cypress family), Hinoki (Japanese cypress), as well as broadleaf trees such as beech and oak varieties.

School starts tomorrow and I need a large tote to carry books and binders. This tote is very roomy. Used up the large scarps from the scarp bin.

I used many S.K. large scraps in this tote. I think I have just spoiled myself with a new tote and a new semester!

oh yes, they are real, I didn't photoshop them either, except for the crop and drop shadow. I counted about 300 roses, neatly arranged for a plant show

Finished the quilt top due to a rare weekend nap by my 3 year old!

I pieced this right after my string quilt when all the leftover stripes were laying about. I laid out the triangles in various ways and like this one the best. I came up with this triangle idea a while ago and had been itching to try it out. Blocks are 10.5".

Only scraps were used to make this quilt which is why some of the color strips are pieced. The white is from a 100% cotton bed sheet.

I worried that the cute little puffy pouch was a tad too little... so I may have overcompensated. This pouch is made using Keyka Lou's Strap Clutch pattern, and was inspired by the adorable patchwork clutch made by VeryKerryBerry in the last swap round. What's better than a red and white clutch from your Canadian Secret Swap Partner?

This crazy quilt of berries was at the Friday farmer's market. I didn't buy any but bought my strawberries, a cabbage, ripe tomatoes and blueberry and banana breads. A happy shopping day.

3rd and final quilt for houston finished! blogged!

This is one block made from the book Modern Patchwork by Elizabeth Hartman.

I've finished laying down all the easy states, but I'm totally procrastinating on all those tiny East Coast ones.

Finally finished my cupcake wall hanging 2/2/09. I used a BHG pattern for the hearts, and made my own cupcakes.

A patchwork of fields. A late afternoon view of the field systems from Hawks' Tor, Devon.

always a favorite design of mine.

I fiddled about with some scraps of pretty fabric and came up with this hexagon patchwork job (the cushion filler is a bit too big though!)
