Zur Zeit findet im Landratsamt Aalen eine Ausstellung statt. Es sind hier wunderbare Arbeiten zu sehen.
This was a test to see if I could make a crazy patchwork cushion from odds and ends of vintage hand embroidered fabrics.
It's not usually my style but I loved having a go.

This is our course project of August. We saw leftover strips in full WOF (from cutting jelly roll strips) together, no matter how even they were. we cut the piece we got in strips of 11 cm. took solid colour strips of 11 cm and saw each of them together with a pieced one, on both long sides (right sides facing). the tube we cut in triangles with a 45 degree ruler and when we opened up the small seam at the point of each trinagle we got squares (half white/half pieced)... Lovely idea for using up quite thin but long strips...
Piecing is a bit rubbish on this one, but you get the idea! Blogged: www.mybearpaw.com/2012/10/bearpaw-squared.html
Für die Rückseite hatte ich noch 2 fertige Log-Cabin Blöcke gefunden.
Sie machen sich sehr gut hier.

Hello partner!
I'm so sorry I am so far behind, but here are some lovely bits & pieces for inspiration
When I was making this mosaic there were two thoughts I had:
1) I really don't like orange, at all... but there's a lot of orange here, so please ignore the organeyness... imagine how totally fabulous these oranges would be replaced by aqua & red (my all-time fav combo!)
2) I really love detail... I didn't really notice this before, but I love all the wee stitchery effects..
Hopefully this will give you some sort of idea of what I love & am inspired by....
Thanks so much
