Sample swatches from different children's fabrics gave me the idea for this. I'm going to be taking it down to New Zealand for my 3 year old grand daughter Millicent next month.
I made a picnic blanket for the girls, using 6.5" squares from a variety of fabrics in my scrap stash. Aside from being in bands of colour, there was no plan. It measures 60" x 48" and is backed with some striped outdoor fabric. Haven't done any actual quilting on it, because I don't quilt. But I might. Maybe.
se faço sabão à mão, como antigamente, porque não fazer patchwork à mão ? Nesta foto o material preparado para a primeira aula.........
In true fashion of reorganizing scraps I pulled four triangles from my scrap box and used them to frame a 1/4" center square. No pattern, no sizing, just sewing and fun!

I started my scrap vomit - it is SO fun! Using Kona Berry and a blue (not sure what blue) Kona from my stash and had just enough for all the inner squares.
Four quarter square triangles on point - perfect little 3" patch. The fabric box I created to hold my BAD blocks is nearly full so I need some 3" squares to make up a new box. This is one of them.
Playing at designing my own block, or have you seen this before? Blogged: www.mybearpaw.com/2012/10/bearpaw-squared.html

My first patchwork and quilted project ever. Started out with precut samplers of Tilda fabrics. I used up all but 2 of the precut squares ending up with a small kiddie blanket of 7 x 12 squares.
Quilt top: 84 squares 11.5 x 11.5 cm
Backing: dotted cotton fabric
Binding: turquoise cotton
Batting: polyester
Este modelo saiu em uma revista de patchwork. Fiz um apenas como modelo com algumas modificações.
A galinha é um porta talheres ou guardanapo
The white background (not the binding) has little green and red dots over it. I thought it would add interest unbeknownst to me that the dots would all but disappear. Never mind.
