I have decided the pattern. It is a very simple one. I have this pattern for years. I made this pattern when I first started making patchwork bags.
My first patchwork and quilted project ever. Started out with precut samplers of Tilda fabrics. I used up all but 2 of the precut squares ending up with a small kiddie blanket of 7 x 12 squares.

There are tons of patchwork flower patterns out there! You might be able to approximate some of the simpler ones without a pattern (part of the reason I didn't specify the size of the block was to simplify the math for anyone who does it that way). Otherwise, the patterns below or a different pattern of your choosing would work well if you like the idea of making a patchwork flower.
Quilter's Cache has the Granny's Flower Garden pattern seen in #4 above, and Modern Tradition Quilt Bee has some suggestions for playing with that pattern.
Carter Quilter has posted the pattern for the string flower quilt shown in #6 above, which contains directions for each of the three shapes of flowers.
Quilter's Cache also has an "Easy Flower Block" pattern, not pictured above.
Three charm packs of Hideaway, some Kona solids, and a lovely black and white spot by Lecein = the perfect antidote to the winter blahs. I made this quilt for my youngest, he is so bright and cheerful and always ready for a cuddle.
Simple patchwork pillow made with 3" squares. All fabrics are Art Gallery: Summerlove, Rhapsodia, Bazaar Style, Bespoken, Sugar, and Pure, Oval, Nature Elements. Fits a 16" form.
A beautiful gift from Sumie ... consisting of scraps of cloth from antique kimonos from Japan. Sumie is the mother of my son Hassan's wife, Mariko.
Made this nine-patch blocks some time ago, hoping to sew a doll's quilt.
But I guess I will be busy with the shop and my Farmer's Wife quilt when the book arrives...
So out of impulse, I made coasters out of the blocks.
"Assim diz o SENHOR, que te criou, e te formou desde o ventre, e que te ajuda: Não temas, ó Jacó, servo meu, ó amado, a quem escolhi." Isaías 44.2
I have pieced together my Great Canadian Stash Busting bee blocks with some additional blocks and finished the top!
* Finishes at about 92" by 96"
* I chose scrappy star blocks for my bee blocks - originally from a Clover and Violet tutorial
* The colours were inspired by the palette from Wild and Free, a fabric collection by Maureen Cracknell for Art Gallery Fabrics
* I received 12 blocks, each 12″ finished size, then made a whole bunch more!
* After making all the small blocks, I made three super sized blocks for the centre.

From the booklet 63 squares to crochet (or something like that.) This took me about a year to make. It was a wedding present for my brother and his wife. It's a great project if you want to get better at crochet! I sewed some squares upside down but I am pretending that was on purpose, so there's no wrong side.
