Went to the new Waimanalo Pumpkin Patch last Saturday and even though its not as big a production as the Aloun Farms one Nikki and I agreed that we prefered the more "Down to Earth" feel of the whole place.

Sponsored by Curo and created by the children of Combe Down Church of England Primary School to fundraise for 4 local charities - Royal United Hospital Cancer Centre, The Archway Centre, Carers' Centre - BNES and the Little Owl Project
The bad section of the patch panel was cut out and replaced with some good metal cut from the parts car.

The Pumpkin Patch is located on Sauvie's Island just 15 minutes northwest of Portland, OR. From Portland, take Highway 30 west towards Scappoose to the Sauvie Island bridge. After crossing the bridge, circle to the left and loop back under the bridge, following Gillihan Road to the farm. Head straight 2 miles until you see our signs.
Market and U-pick: 9 AM - 6 PM, June through October.
Pumpkin Cottage Giftshop: 10am - 6pm.
Patio Cafe: Friday, Saturday, Sunday. 10am - 6pm.
The Maize: September-October.

Patches has survived everything and is still getting around relatively well: broken tail bone (after 5 years she still doesn't have feeling in the last 6" of her tail which she drags and the other cats - cruelly - play with), deep inner ear infection (still walks crooked with a tilted head and loses her balance occassionally), and more - but she's a purring machine and will be friends with just about any human as long as she can sit in their laps - especially if they have cat allergies: she has a magnetic attraction to those poor sufferers...
