Nobu saved the day by getting me this patch kit at Daiso. I needed the
little rubber tubes for the valve stems on my Japanese bike. I didn't
even think about it, but a Japanese dollar store might be the only
place in America to buy these...
As usual, Sheldon Brown explains:
Woods Valve
There is a third type of valve, very rarely seen in the U.S., which has a bottom similar to a Schrader and necks down to about the size of a Presta. This is a Woods valve, also known as a "Dunlop" valve. Woods valves were formerly popular in the British Isles and Asia. You can pump them up with a Presta pump.
Older versions work with rubber tubing and spit. If they don't hold air, you can unscrew the knurled ring that holds the valve core (the "Presta-sized" part) in place. You should see a short length of rubber tubing covering the inner part of the core. If the rubber tubing it old and perished, the valve won't work. Some patch kits include short lengths of replacement rubber tubing for this purpose. When installing new tubing, lubricate the valve core with spit before slipping the tubing in place.
Newer versions use a modern spring-loaded valve mechanism.

The Pumpkin Patch is located on Sauvie's Island just 15 minutes northwest of Portland, OR. From Portland, take Highway 30 west towards Scappoose to the Sauvie Island bridge. After crossing the bridge, circle to the left and loop back under the bridge, following Gillihan Road to the farm. Head straight 2 miles until you see our signs.
Market and U-pick: 9 AM - 6 PM, June through October.
Pumpkin Cottage Giftshop: 10am - 6pm.
Patio Cafe: Friday, Saturday, Sunday. 10am - 6pm.

Our Patches died this morning. She wasn't doing well when we got home from work last night and we didn't think she'd make it through the night. She didn't move all night long and this morning we were ready to take her to the vet to have her put down. Right after I left the message on the vet's phone, she whined a few times, then took a few deep breaths and died. She was 16 and a great cat, we'll miss her.
We wrapped her in her favorite blanket, and put her in a small box to bury her in the yard.

The fourteenth patch on the jacket was given away by the Star Wars Action News podcast (for whom I am the UK reporter) at Star Wars Celebration VI in Orlando in 2012 as part of a six part patch put together by six fan groups. The completed patch depicts the Death Star and is a thing of beauty! The patch has been sewn on the right hand side of the right breast pocket on the front of the jacket.
