Those white patches are daisies. The grass hasn't been cut. The house has been unoccupied for some time. It sits on a knob overlooking large and low meadows stretching toward Highway 101 on a berm between them and the Pacific. Cattle still browse in the meadows, ownership and/or use separated from the house which also used to dominate "downtown" Ophir--the Post Office used to be across the road, and a bit further north the Ophir School, no longer used as a school. South of the house [behind the viewer] was a big barn since disassembled, but a couple of smaller cattle processing buildings remain with corrals and a "press".
Went to the new Waimanalo Pumpkin Patch last Saturday and even though its not as big a production as the Aloun Farms one Nikki and I agreed that we prefered the more "Down to Earth" feel of the whole place.
This patch was to raise up a low spot that I messed up with the bull float when we poured the pad. The patcher material came out much darker than anticipated so we planned to grind it down a little and see what color was beneath the surface.
A patch I made for the blessingway of a special woman. About 35 woman are each making a patch to be sewn together to make a blessing birth blanket.

Went to Unclaimed Baggage and quite randomly found this sweeet patch attached to a jean jacked that even fit me! So excited!
