This 1993 Leyland DAF 45 was seen parked amongst multiple other horseboxes at Rockrose Equestrian Sports Centre, near East Linton, Scotland. While not always especially interesting, horsebox lorries tend to be considerably old and rare, one example being this 31 year old Leyland. The vehicle is still taxed and in use, and interestingly its V5C logbook was last issued only last July. If we're to presume that date is when its current owner purchased the lorry, it should have a good few years left at work, over three decades after being registered.

Carbon fiber frame prep:
Park Tool AP-1 adhesive primer
Park Tool RC-1 retaining compound
Combining carbon fiber and aluminum components:
Park Tool SAC-2 (Silica Assembly Compound).
Press fit retaining compound RC-1 - for all non-threaded parts.
Adhesive Primer AP-1 - for all carbon fiber parts - MUST be used - dry time approx 30 min, so do it first, then work on the bike, etc
Carbon and alloy assembly compound SAC-2 (NOTE: Assembly compounds hold by using grip aided by small bits of hard silica. This silica may cause minor cosmetic blemishing. Do not use SAC-2 on threaded parts or for bearing lubrication) good for stopping seatpost slip, stem to handlebar slip, etc. with no drying time.
Prior to using TLR-1, AP-1 must be used when the component or fastener contact carbon fiber such as the BB92 bottom bracket or bearings pressed into carbon fiber frames. Failure to do so could result in permanently bonded parts.

As i had a few hours to kill in Sheffield today i wondered off to the BUs station to see if i could photograph a 310 service. After viewing the timetable i noted one was due in at 12.35. It arrived 8 minutes late at 12.43 not bad for a national service. The 310 service was run by Travelstar European, but as of last week ( i think ) has been aken over and contracted out to Decourcey's who's FJ11MLU is seen here at Sheffield Bus Station a Volvo B9R / Cateano Levante C49FT .
