Remarks :
German Luftwaffe machine operators using an anti-aircraft MG-15 gun next to an airfield. The Luftwaffe used blue as his basic colour, with a uniform consisted of a blue-grey single-breasted, open-collared jacket with four pockets and flaps, white shirt and black necktie, blue-grey trousers, black leather boots and a blue-grey peaked cap, side cap or Model 1935 Stahlhelm. While on field service the jacket would often be worn 'collared up', without shirt or tie. This was applied to AA soldiers and field forces. The flying suit, however, typically consisted of a beige jumpsuit.

05.02.24. A contrast in the livery styles of the two major Sheffield operators, both using a very similar shade of blue. Stagecoach's recent Enviro 400s have particularly clear rear destination displays, a feature yet to be seen First buses in the city. First's Volvo B9TL, a former West Yorkshire bus now promoting the musician Self Esteem, is heading towards the Interchange on service 208, with the destination display already set for the return journey to Whiston at 1530. For some reason best known to themselves First buses on the 208 show 'Worrygoose Roundabout' with no hint as to where that is and no mention of intermediate points, unlike on most other services; 'Whiston via Tinsley and Brinsworth' would be far more helpful to passengers as most Sheffield residents will have never heard of Worrygoose Roundabout. The photograph was taken in Flat Street, Sheffield, with the former GPO building dominating the scene. (Photo taken and posted 5 Apr 2024)

The memorial depicts a radio operator comforting a wounded comrade while anxiously searching the sky for a medevac helicopter. The bronze sculpture stands about 10 feet tall at its highest point and is 23 feet long and 12 feet wide. With a weight of more than 10 tons, it is the largest sculpture of its kind in the country. The memorial is located in front of Municipal Auditorium, in a portion of the facility's parking lot that has been transformed into the Veterans Memorial Plaza.
"Hill 881 South," as the memorial is officially called, was created by Scottsdale, Ariz., artist Austin Deuel who served as a Marine illustrator during the war. On April 30, 1967, the dramatic sight of radioman Donald Hassock helping an injured soldier inspired Deuel to draw the picture that 19 years later would become the model for San Antonio's memorial.

A radar operator in the operations room onboard Type 23 frigate HMS Monmouth.
Alarms sound, drills commence, monitors flash, switches are made; it seems a lot to think about all at once, but this is the constant tempo in the beating heart of HMS Monmouth; the Operations Room.
There are banks of displays each showing unique information which, to the untrained eye, is a jumble of letters, numbers and lines, but to the members of the Warfare department who call the Ops room home, it enables them to fuse information together to allow the Ship to operate effectively and is their way of life throughout a 7 month deployment.

This 1989 Leyland Roadrunner was seen parked amongst multiple other horseboxes at Rockrose Equestrian Sports Centre, near East Linton, Scotland. While not always especially interesting, horsebox lorries tend to be considerably old and rare, one example being this 35 year old Leyland. The vehicle is marked as SORN (Statutory Off Road Notification) and is clearly falling into disrepair. It last had a valid MOT until summer 2020, and presumably it's been unused since.

As a former operator, I have always loved these types of photos. This shot, taken by Clyde Stickley in 1970 shows ATSF agent/operator Jean Ferguson working at her desk in Waynoka, Oklahoma. This shot has all the basic operator items including: Scissor phone to talk to the dispatcher on the block line, CTC machine, current employee timetable hanging from the machine (ATSF Plains Division ETT #3), ATSF calendar on the wall, train orders/clearances/lineups and other paperwork on desk. She seems to be fairly young and very ladylike and sports a big smile.
I am completely unfamiliar with this location and the Santa Fe isn't on the top of my favorites however, I always loved this photograph.
