I have no idea who was operating Scania K124 Irizar Century 00-KK-3048 in a soggy Dublin on 26th July 2013. It had most recently been with Billy O'Brien, Ballycogley, but I think it had moved on.
This train operator may not be flavour of the month owing to its frequent timetable changes this year and high levels of cancellations due to train crew shortages. However, this service, 9M56 1252 hrs Edinburgh to London Euston via Birmingham New Street, departed on time from Edinburgh for the journey south. These services reach the high point of the West Coast Main Line at Beattock Summit (1016 ft above sea level) some 45 minutes after leaving Edinburgh. This was the second day of the new winter timetable. Services on this route still appear in Table 65 of the National Rail Timetable (only available online and no longer in print).

First North Western operated the North West Regional Railways franchise from March 1997 until 2004 - when this picture was taken (on 30 August) at that time the Windermere services transferred to First Transpennine Express. In this shot near Staveley, the train still carries First’s Northwestern Livery but there are blank spaces in the lining below the windows where the branding has been removed. 175111 forms the 1049 Manchester – Windermere.
