The Marmore waterfall, in the province of Terni, in the Valnerina, has an overall height difference of 165 metres, over three jumps.
It is the highest in Europe of artificial origin, having been formed, in Roman times, with the modification of the course of the Velino river, which thus flows into the Nera, a tributary of the Tiber.
It is a very popular tourist destination, reachable in a couple of hours from Rome, by car.
Given a colour modification & slight blur, the loft conversion continues to be a very popular way of extending the living space in houses.

NCB No.60 built by the Hunslet Engine Company in Leeds & delivered to the National Coal Board on 18th January 1949. The locomotive has a modified cab to allow it to work through narrow tunnels & may be the only surviving one with this modification.
This is a snapshot with no filter or modification. I just loved the colors and couldn't have anything changed at all.

Here I underexposed 1 stop using manual shutter mode and softened both highlights and shadow using Q menu instead of processing to jpeg and. printed using Adobe Portrait with some burning in to strengthen photo but still stock to better illustrate what can be done with the Fuji menu to improve the look of your final photo.
You can process the image to jpeg where you do not have to make any alterations to the cameras menu at all.

31.03.2021. - Pácsony
The first modification of the current timetable will take effect from 11th April. It brings a lot of changes, especially in West Hungary.
The four pairs of semi-fast trains between Szombathely and Pécs will be replaced by a new brand, called Pannónia InterRegio. These IR trains will drive every second hour between the two cities, making way more connections then nowadays.
The sad thing in this new system is that these trains will be operating with Desiro DMU's.
It means, that the classical loc and wagon compiled trains will disappear from this iconic railway line.
On the picture the train 8904 is leaving Pácsony station, hauled by the repainted M41 2308.
Kingsburg Historical Park
This vehicle is a circa 1929 Ford Model A. It did not come with its ass end constructed like that, but was modified after WWII started. The reason for the modification was that because of the war gasoline was rationed for most cars, but a truck was considered a working vehicle and a necessity. So this car became a truck. It was donated to the Kingsburg Historical Society by Giannini Farms. It's in very rough condition but still runs.
With surprisingly few glued to phone screens, passengers at Swindon pass the time in quiet contemplation while waiting on their train.
Meanwhile, over in the down loop, Freightliner 'Shed' 66549 waits for the road while working the 12.45pm Oxford (Banbury Road) - Whatley Quarry empties (6C50). Not much contemplation time for the driver in this instance - some 15 minutes after drawing to a stop the train was on the move once again.
I normally aim for discretion around folks with the camera but it's not always easy with the light-green Canon 100-400 zoom on the front, and in this case I seem to have captured the interest of at least one individual.
What with track rationalisation and the electrification project, there's not so much left of the old GWR infrastructure here, and what does remain has occasionally seen some modification. Happily the original and characterful stone building on the island platform still stands and, being of 1842 vintage, was Grade II Listed just over 10 years ago. Just a pity the ornate canopy supports have been given what look like heavy-duty concrete socks - but at least they are still there.
Comments off, thanks.

Modification of a photo my sister Grace took. With her permission I'm posting it on my site with some changes. The wooden structure is called the needle and is made of wood and is used as a nautical marker. I did lighten the picture up and brought out the color. Also added the boat because in my opinion this picture needed one even though the scene was fine without it.

The Perron de Liège is a fountain-stoop located on the Place du Marché in Liège opposite the town hall. This monument, representing the freedoms of Liège, is the symbol of the City of Liège.
Gradually, it is all the Liberties of Liège that he will symbolize. It will be found everywhere where it is question of the city of Liège. Whether in the coat of arms, on various monuments and signs and until today, stylized in the logo of the City of Liège.
It is certainly this meaning that explains the LG often inscribed on either side of the Perron, like Libertas Gentis, whose primary meaning remains uncertain.
This icon of the Liberties of Liège became so strong that the monument was removed from its base by Charles the Bold in 1468 to be transported to Bruges where it was exhibited. Ten years later, he was brought back from Bruges by Prince-Bishop Louis de Bourbon who had attended the coronation of Mary of Burgundy. It was greeted with enthusiasm by the people of Liège and became the palladium of their nationality.
It underwent various renovations or modifications, in particular by Jean del Cour in the 17th century who added the three Graces and made a fountain of it.
Later, certain elements were replaced such as the busts which are above the doors of the Town Hall or the Three Graces, the original of which is exhibited at the Grand Curtius.
Given the state of deterioration of the building, an overall restoration of the Perron, the most prestigious and emblematic monument in Liège, was essential. This work began in the spring of 2018, and ended in June 2019.
