The self-determined 400 Horses Project required that I create 400 horse drawings in one year while learning to like every horse. The liking part was especially challenging.
.
This evolved into Don't Doubt Your Horses, a participatory art project that encourages you to unharness your creative spirit by making horses.
Got tired of the "all glass" (black) nose and added LBG (because I didn't have a white inverted 1x2 curved slope). Because I didn't like the clash against the White on the rest of the underside, I swapped out for Light Blue Gray, even on the stepped 2x2 that is attached to the engine bell.
If you squint just enough, you can see one of the two hinged 1x2's that help hold this thing together along with the stepped 2x2's and engine bell. When everything's assembled, it's pretty swooshable.
This is an entire strip of film. I used a piece of paper and cut slits into it and then put it in my holga behind the film. I then took three pictures and moved about 30 degrees each picture. I really liked the way this gave some graphics to the picture.
I worked on this image this morning for my husband, who wanted a picture of his cousin Richie as a young man. The image that my husband found (in his own bar mitzvah album) was a group shot, with a number of people crowded around a table. I transferred the original image into my computer and used Painter's digital pastel to draw in a new background, covering up the other guests. I also had to redraw/recreate the sleeve on the right side because it was partially hidden in the original version. There are things I would like to fix, but this is what I could do in a short time.. In any case, I was able to get this done to be used in my husband's internet post about cousin Richie, who passed away this morning at 75 years old. I love old photos and have found great comfort in them myself, so I was glad to transform an image from that old group photo into this portrait of Richie as a handsome young man. Young or old, he was also a real mensch. May his memory be for a blessing.

The angle is not showing in this photo, but each float has a raised 15 degree angle to the front of each pylon/float tip. This mod is different than the stock position of the floats. I didn't have to cut the bottom of each plastic spar in order to make this mod.
My sister gave me this old broken belt buckle as a stocking stuffer, so I decided to drill some holes in it, and sew it onto my bag, to cover up the Abercombie & Finch logo. much better.
