Or.. what's left of it.
I can tell you this much, even though I was only two steps into this loading dock when I took the picture, it smelled absolutely disgusting. Damn * no pun intended*

This was the 1300 train, which was on duty at 0700. This is the last train before NSM shuts down for a bit over one month. The 3rd unit is the 1236! They only have 113 loads at MP 6. NSM shutdown approx. 1400 this afternoon.
memory lane******2200 lb supply bundles exit from 10,000 ft over S. Vietnam headed for the troops in the jungles below. This was leads four bundle drop to check for accuracy, the rest followed with a 16 bundle load. The high altitude kept us away from SA7 missiles and other nasty projectiles. Recovery of goods was nearly 97%.

I shot this picture prior to leaving Henderson. I'm now in Idaho. The power, phone and internet are all on. The trip was insanely miserable. The trucks wouldn't go over 30 mph when going up any grade. Deanna left her wallet in the bathroom at a McDonald's. I'm glad it's all over with. You really can't beat the weather here. It's been nice and cool.
To view in stereo, sit 2-3 feet from the monitor and gently cross your eyes so that the two images become three. The one in the middle will be in 3d. If you are finding this difficult, you may be trying too hard. Viewing the original size is best.

I was intrigued by Lain's reference to a scratch and sniff layout and I knew I wanted to scrap about my (teeny tiny) coffee addiction so I used real coffee to create these rings. And yes, my layout smells like coffee! Yum!!
From the same position as the previous photo, but turned to the right, we see the loading dock. From here wagons could be unloaded onto the hard standing in the centre of the photo or the crane could lower blocks down to the roadway immediately below.
The end of another succesful Tofs trackday sortie to Almeria. May2012 I believe the GXR1000 is that of Gerard Knox. No idea on the Desmosidici as there were about 7!!! Possibly Guys
These International-powered loaders were built in Batavia, New York until the late 1980s or early 90s. I'm trying to find out more information and will revise this as I find it.

What happened? Well our car broke down in the middle lane of one of the UK's busiest motorways on the afternoon of the last day of school for the summer. I was so tired, being 3 months pregnant and a teacher I fell asleep while my husband waited for roadside assistance!
