Hello Everyone,
Macro Mondays is a weekly theme-based challenge group. This week's challenge was "Forks."
The antique cocktail forks measure at just under the 3" maximum. Many gherkins were eaten in the making of this image! ):0 Happy Macro Mondays! HMM!
Thanks a million for stopping by and for leaving me a comment. I do love hearing from you!
Have a wonderful day and week ahead!

If you are a beach hut fan there are loads to be seen on Hayling Island. Good beaches too.

BLOL 7591 (ex NP GP9) & BLOL 7504 (original IC GP9, now a GP10) loading grain cars for the CN up in Charolette, IL. This was back in 2017 when it seemed to be easier to catch matching set of Bloomer power & catch bigger trains. Still to this day, I love shooting these guys.

CSX R202 begins loading its 75-car train with Greenbrier Smokeless Coal in Anjean, WV. This loadout only loads a handful of trains every year, so this train was tied down for 3 days before the mine had enough coal to load all 75 cars.
Moving up into the "O" category, brings me to some slim pickin's, so we have to dig into the collection and see what others found. The Oneida & Western was one really neat operation, and my main railfan buddy, Dennis Nehrenz, shot this coal train loading at Shamrock Coal's Clover Mine loadout.
The O&W wasn't really a railroad so to speak, but more like railroad operator, running two coal train sets over the L&N from 1979 to 1987. This came about due to bad conditions and service over the L&N's coal lines, causing Shamrock Coal to want to run it's own trains. The service operated with 8 SD40-2 diesels, 144 coal gons, and 2 cabooses, all purchased brand new. (Map location is approximate)
The mechanical loaders make short work of filling up 66006 at Cwmbargoed, the train will later work out as 6C94 15:45 Cwmbargoed Opencast Colliery to Margam Terminal Complex.
Just about a year ago
I set out on the road
Seekin' my fame and fortune
Lookin' for a pot of gold
Things got bad and things got worse
I guess you will know the tune
Oh Lord, stuck in Lodi again

CSX R231, the 5am Hazard crew, eases hoppers under the batch loader at Typo on the famed EK Subdivision. They are starting on their 8th car of this Georgia Power train bound for Plant Bowen.
Back in 1982, the Leicester - Burton-on-Trent line was very busy with MGRs and aggregate trains to a variety of loaders. At Cliff Hill, 37075 is getting its train loaded, as 56047 passes with a merry-go-round.
I loved the dark burgundy section of this tunnel. Being lucky enough to catch the light trail passing through the centre of the frame really adds to it too (and that red glow reflection on the poster!).
Moments prior I had been taking shots just before the tunnel. A couple of guys wandered past and stopped. My heart sank- they were going to engage us in conversation. I always feel so, so awkward as I really just want to take my photographs and be left alone. They were perfectly nice but there were loads of questions about what Michael and I were doing. Anxiety levels increased, embarrassment increased. Argh.
