Another shot from our hike on the Boyscout Tree Trail. It sort of looks like a black and white one from earlier, but when I looked back at the times, they were separated by about a mile of trail. This is a great hike to get a sense for what these forests have to offer.
O pôr do sol sempre cria efeitos de luz espetaculares.
The sunset always creates amazing light effects.

On one of my bike trips through the hills of Emmental, you always pass the lonely trees on the hills, mostly limetrees, rarely maple. This lime tree stands proudly in the limelight
From a rather unproductive photowalk some lightrays still found a way to the sensor.
Have a wonderful weekend, folks! :)
Here in norway we have a pretty long winter. It's cold, white and though beautiful, one starts to long after summer when the months stretch on.
I wanted to make a piece that reminds me of how wonderful the summer really is, the play of colors, the intense green wall of leaves, rays of light lighting up the haze of a fresh stream rushing past.
This place is about 5 minutes walk from where i live.

LARGE looks so much better.
Browsing through some photos from Nepal from a year ago, I came across this one in my collection of unpublished shots. Although I've uploaded many other misty shots, somehow had missed this one. It was also clicked near Pashupatinath temple in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Out of context, Flickr has added a new feature called People in Photos. You can now tag Flickr members in photos, in a way similar to Facebook. My first candidate was this photo. Flickr has also revamped the people profile page, which now looks so much better. Read about the latest changes on Flickr blog.
A wonderful little waterfall somewhere in the Kanton of St. Gallen, Switzerland. Nice region for hiking, but also to take some photos!
Hope you like it! And if you do, please leave a fave!

Hope is so important in life and for life.
I wanted to post an image that depicts hope, but my cityscapes do not convey this theme well. This image (as seen) will have to do for now though there are aspects I do not like about this image ... it isn't the composition I was after and I need to re-shoot this scene again when the weather conditions are right.
As we begin a new week, let us step forward in hope.

Spectacular shafts of light radiating through the fast moving moody clouds over Burrator looking east. The silhouette is Sheep’s Tor
Only one of two butterflies I located that morning.
Thankfully the position of the animal was right for the sun to hit it from the side.

I spent a ridiculous amount of time in post pro trying to adequately convey a lighting situation that turned out to be an extremely taxing one. This is as close as I could get to replicate a light variant that I had never encountered before.
