A small woodland backdrop brought to life in the late afternoon with an Enola Gaye smoke canister which really set off the autumn light rays providing a stunning backdrop for this couple photoshoot.

Wanaka and there was a strong cold wind and a touch of rain. April 29, 2016 Central Otago in the South Island of New Zealand.
Nestled below towering mountains, Wanaka is the most tranquilly set of the South Island lakes.
In winter, skiers flock here from all over the world for superb skiing and snowboarding at Cardrona and Treble Cone, cross-country skiing at Snow Farm and heli-skiing high in the Harris Mountains. But Wanaka, New Zealand, is much more than a winter destination. Year round activities include fishing, hiking, canyoning, climbing and skydiving. Visit the nearby towns of Queenstown, Cromwell and Alexandra, go shopping, or simply sit in a café and watch the world pass by.

30 September 2018: Sunrise burst through the fog at Raquette Lake in the Adirondack Mountains, NY.
It was a last morning in the Adirondacks and I was treated to this amazing scene as the sun rose behind the trees and provided a burst of color. I didn't want to go home, but I did with a smile on my face.
Great Sand Dunes National Park on a cloudy day. Apparently they filmed part of Star Wars here - we didn't even know until we got back. It's a neat place to visit. We climbed the tallest dune, which is about 750 feet high.
I decided to take my camera into Glasgow this morning to get some autumn shots along the river Kelvin, but found this view nearly immediately as I got in the car. My landlord was having a small bonfire to burn garden rubbish, and the smoke was drifting down our driveway, with the morning rays shining through.

This is me!
This is for my photo project I am doing at school. It is an adaptatoin of Alice in Wonderland. I hope you like it :)
hmm...for some reason the colors look all contrasty after I uploaded it :/
On one of my computers the door looks more creamy/white and on the other it looks orange/brown...
The power lines went out
And I am all alone
But I don’t really care at all
Not answering my phone
All the games you played
The promises you made
Couldn’t finish what you started
Only darkness still remains
Lost sight
Couldn’t see
When it was you and me
Blow the candles out
Looks like a solo tonight
I’m beginning to see the light
Blow the candles out
Looks like a solo tonight
But I think I’ll be alright
Been black and blue before
There’s no need to explain
I am not the jaded kind
Playback’s such a waste
You’re invisible
Invisible to me
My wish is coming true
Erase the memory of your face
Lost sight
Couldn’t see
When it was you and me
One day
You will wake up
With nothing but “you’re sorrys”
And someday
You will get back
Everything you gave me
candles - hey monday
These two things play pretty well together. Camping along the Salmon River in the Mt. Hood National Forest.

Playing with light again. The neighbors were going nuts trying to figure out what the %$#% we were doing out there in the dark. Very little photoshop. This is in-camera manipulation.
This scene was recorded in the early evening of December 2, 2022 (late in the year). This was seen on the Foothills Parkway, northeast of Cosby, TN. The rays of sunlight thru the cloud formations were interesting to me, given this level of darkness.
After shooting the blinds, I had bumped one, and it left this stream of light running down the kitchen table.

This is a photo I took in oktober in the Black Forest (Germany). It's one of my most favorite places to be, the woods really make me completely happy and relaxed. Twice a year we go there and everytime (I think this year will be the 25th year I go) I really enjoy it, and never get bored.
So because of the bad weather over here, I post this photo, to remind me of the beautiful autumn weather we had back there :)
We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light.

An eerie atmospheric morning at Kingston Foreshore. Absolutely still. No sound. No movement of any sort.

Finder - Removed the CF card from the camera digital back and placed it in a Lexar 25-in-1 USB card reader. Then used Finder on my MacBook Air to download the raw image file (3FR extension) from the card.
Lightroom - Imported the 3FR image. Applied a standard metadata preset (20161110 Import 001) during the import process.
Lightroom - Used the Map module to add the location details to the EXIF header.
Lightroom - Used the Spot Removal tool (Clone and Heal modes) to attenuate a number of sensor dust spots.
Lightroom - Made various lighting and color adjustments to the image.
Lightroom - Straightened the image and applied a crop retaining the origonal 4:3 aspect ratio.
Lightroom - Saved the Develop module settings as a preset.
Lightroom - Output the image as a JPEG image using the “Maximum” quality option (7968 x 5972 pixels).
PhotoSync - Copied the JPEG file to my iPad Mini for any final processing, review, enjoyment, and posting to social media.
