And then it was all the frost off by the sun
We've had foggy weather for days now, and I got out shooting three of those days.
I took this one several days ago in West Vancouver. We were heading to a new trestle bridge that we hadn't been to yet, and these seemed like welcoming rays.
You'll be seeing a lot of foggy images here in the next while :)
intense fog the first night of November and a river that was calling for photographers to enjoy the sight :)
I took an amazing trip with my cousins to a unique and little known Idaho gem of a cave. It is a collapsed lava tube. The ferns growing in the ring are remnants left from the passing of the last ice age. I don’t think there are any native ferns for at least a couple hundred miles in any direction from this location. The surface is an arid lava desert, typical of southern Idaho, the complete antithesis to the damp and cool cave interior.
I was overwhelmed with how magical it felt. I could easily imagine The Grail or Excalibur hovering in mystical light over the center of the fern ring, or that I had fallen into a story in which the traveler finds himself inside a fairy mound. For the record we were very courteous, didn’t make a mess and only ate/drank from our own supplies ;)
Mission Espada on the Mission Trail National Historic Park in San Antonio, Texas. Its original name was San Francisco de los Tejas.
It was relocated and renamed San Francisco de la Espada in 1731. This is one of five missions located on the Mission Trail National Park. They are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The Mission Alamo is probably the best known one. #NPS #SanAntonio #MissionEspada #MissionTrailNationalHistoricPark #SanAntonioMissionTrail #UNESCO
Well they say "never say never"
Is there hope on the horizon with news of a new car/aircraft lol!
Imagine no more twisty hairpin drops. We could just glide our way to these wonderful locations.
Dream on........
The cost alone would probably need a win on the lottery.
And by the time it becomes available to mere mortals, I possibly won't know which end of the camera to shoot with :)
An image of Loch Leven with the Ballachulish Bridge in the distance. I'm amazed there seems to be no vehicles crossing the bridge at this time
Out of the camera this way.No texture.even though it looks like it.. I have never captured water and light this way..
We got the hay baled right before this torrential storm occurred. It smelled so lovely!

Mission San José in San Antonio, Texas. It one of the five missions in the Mission Trail National Historic Park. The mission was founded in 1720. It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site called the Queen of the Missions being the largest of the five. The Mission San José y San Miguel de Aguayo was restored in the 1930's by the Work Projects Administration. #MissionSanJosé #NPS #SanAntonio #Texas #B&W #NoirEtBlanc #Schwarz-Weiss-Foto #ReligiousSite #church #église #Kirche #kyrka #MissionTrailNationalHistoricPark #SanAntonioMissions #UNESCO
Capturing the sun just peeking under the cloud.
The mist formed at the base of the hills was caused by sprinkler irrigation which I thought added a nice effect to the landscape,
Waimate, New Zealand.
It is inspiring to shoot a wider variety of shots nowadays, instead of just focusing on Birds and Wildlife. I do enjoy that very much as well, but photography is too much fun to be stuck in one gear.
New days, bringing new light are ahead.

Was lucky enough to go to Stonehenge this afternoon and even managed a pretty impressive sunset after a few consecutive grey and/or wet days in England. It was fantastic to experience this place!
I take one more step and will be farther from home than ever before. I will ride the lightray and get to the different universe. I wish there would be nice trees as we have on Earth...
North Yorkshire is not a place I have visited much, but on my way to the Lakes I thought I would go to a couple of places this being one of them, of course late afternoon is not ideal here but the sun broke free of the clouds at this time so got the old Sony out and snapped a few pictures. Managed to get this one as the train happened to cross the viaduct with sunrays breaking through.
This place has such a variety of light even in the little time that was spent at this location, I can see why you can when here capture in the evening and dawn such atmospheric light and mood!!!
Yorkshire is certainly a place to visit more.
