It's better than nothing
It's been months now since the last time I saw another living soul, I still don't know where they all went, or what happened to them, but I've now grown to accept that I really am alone here. Did I step into some sort of portal that day in the staircase? Did I glitch out of the world everyone else is living in? Am I in what remains of another universe, or am I in the same world but for some reason unable to interact or even see any of the people living in it? Why do I keep finding evidence of people coming and going, objects moved, places disturbed, but never see the people themselves? Am I living here with spirits, or have I just completely lost my mind?
Or, am I really not alone here?

Yes, I always seem to have a drink in my hand...or I'm wishing I did! I'm a luscious lush! Okay, just a lush! I am chilling out here with a delightful strawberry margarita (heavy on the Patron!) and my pups, of course. When nobody else has time in their busy schedules to get tipsy with me, the pups are always game on! hehehe I have a Corgi in real life, so they are extra dear to my heart, and they are total rascals, constant energy! While I am a couple of sheets to the wind here, I think I will be quite safe as these two keep their sharp lil puppy eyes on everything that's going on!

Exposure, is there a right one? I often utilize my histograms and the theory of ETTR. (Expose To The Right) However, that does not always render the most ideal image, even when manipulated in post. This shot was slightly underexposed and shot in RAW. The result better reveals the suns rays than the one with the right histogram. Perhaps it is best to keep on learning,

Momma bear catches a whiff of something while her two cubs continue feasting on the berries.
While on the full-day bus excursion into Denali National Park, we happened upon this grizzly sow and her two cubs bulking up on berries. Amazingly, we were also able to see a lynx observing them, not 50' from where these three were feeding. After watching for a few minutes, the sow lifted her head, probably having caught scent of the lynx and eventually rushed to where the cat was located to investigate. When the cubs followed suit, the lynx reappeared about 15' from this point.
The wildlife in Denali seem oblivious to the buses. Very little private vehicular traffic is allowed into the park beyond the 15-mile mark on the 92 mile Park Road to Kantishna (the only road in this massive six million acre National Park).
Although the weather was overcast in the morning, followed by heavy rains in the afternoon and evening, we were able to see quite a bit of wildlife in the park. Unfortunately, we were unable to see the entirety of Denali Mountain.

This rainy season we have been having rainy days for weeks. At this afternoon's short break of the rain, I instantly took my camera and photographed this, humming 🎵‘Raindrops keep fallin' on my head’. The flower covered with raindrops is Echinacea ‘Harvest Moon’.
One from the archives. Snowy Owls do a lot of sitting. They sit still in the same spot for hours, occasionally swivelling their head or leaning forward and blinking their big, yellow eyes to get a closer look at something. All that sitting is great for me because it's easier to get some shots of them before they go back to the Arctic. :(
