Water levels on the waterways around Essex County are at record highs. Sturgeon Creek in Leamington, Ontario is no exception, where these docks were far to precarious to venture out on. Keep off signs posted definitely kept me off, as I explored on this early morning.

This pass road crosses one of the mountain ranges flanking Iceland's Westfjords and the compacted snow to the right gives an idea about the amount of snow coming down here and what struggle it must be to keep these roads usable during the long winter month!

Australian Magpies are very vigilant birds, the see everything and miss very little. They keep watch on behalf of all the birds who visit my yard, They raise the alarm if there is danger, and sound the all clear when the danger is past. They have calls for strangers, cats and raptors; Magpies are the unsung local heroes, and truly beautiful birds. Exposure, is there a right one? I often utilize my histograms and the theory of ETTR. (Expose To The Right) However, that does not always render the most ideal image, even when manipulated in post. This shot was slightly underexposed and shot in RAW. The result better reveals the suns rays than the one with the right histogram. Perhaps it is best to keep on learning,

When the skies perform and the tide is good I just wander along the breaking waves looking for good reflections. The beauty is that whichever direction you look there are great opportunities. This is looking up channel away from the setting sun, and has a beautiful sense of calm . I'm so lucky to have this wonderful playground. Last night there was a camera club on the beach, so it was very busy. Keep on moving is my usual approach, and is by Bob Marley and the Wailers.

This rainy season we have been having rainy days for weeks. At this afternoon's short break of the rain, I instantly took my camera and photographed this, humming 🎵‘Raindrops keep fallin' on my head’. The flower covered with raindrops is Echinacea ‘Harvest Moon’.
