Since we were there on a misty and damp day (at least to start, it brightened for our afternoon walk) and the mud underfoot was exceptionally gloppy and heavy, my head refused to compute that it was dessert!
It amused us that this trail was sponsored by the "Dirty Feet Trail Series" - how appropriate! dirtyfeet.ca

Even with a fast lens, and a fast ISO, there was still just enough turbulence to screw up most of the night photos I tried to take. This photo, however, is a fair representation of the city of Kamloops, in the Southern Interior region of BC. Taken from 36,000' from a WestJet 737.
Hopefully that'll hold off my pilot friends who follow this site until I can get more aircraft posted.
