In 1915 the Canadian Northern Railway built a Class II Station at Kamloops Junction (3 miles north of Downtown Kamloops). This station was demolished in 1985 and replaced by the much smaller one-room station for VIA operations.

Finding a suitable rental accommodation in the Okanagan is proving to be quite challenging, so we expanded our circle to include Kamloops. We had an opportunity to see a house there, so we went. A last minute road trip sort of thing.

The recently opened Tournament Capital Centre is located adjacent to Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, "Canadas Tournament Capital". The Tournament Capital Centre consists of: a 65,000 square foot field house; a 15,000 square foot gymnastics centre; a 50 metre eight-lane Canada Games pool with 1, 3 & 5 metre platforms; an indoor throws room; work-out facilities; an outdoor artificial turf FIFA 1-star certified soccer field; and the sports Sage Medical Centre and Pacific Sport organization offices.
