Took a quick trip down to Kelowna and stopped at this viewpoint just out of Savona for this shot. Kamloops Lake is fed by the North and South Thompson Rivers, it is 1 mile wide and 18 miles long.

The Kamloops Bike Ranch is the most technically advanced 26-hectare municipal bike park in Canada. The initial site has an elevation change of 132 metres over its 1.1 kilometre length. The Ranch features a fast-flowing, A-line style downhill trail boasting a multitude of tables and berms is rated for the expert rider, a jump park for expert and intermediate riders and a BMX track built according to Canadian Cycling Association standards.

Take the lift to the summit (2,152 metres) and hike through the meadows or ride down one of the 37 challenging mountain bike trails totaling over 70 kilometres in length.
People have long been attracted to Kamloops landscape and geology. The last ice age built an ice dam creating a lake that filled the Thompson Valleys and reversed the flow of the rivers. A warming trend melted the ice and drained the lake exposing white silt terraces consisting of the sediments of the former lakebed. Here wind and water have sculpted extensive gullies as well as hoodoos with their distinctive columns and cap rocks.
