Sumi-e ink drawing with some tear-outs for whites, very experimental. You can make of it whatever you wish, a pyramid, snow drifts by the sidewalk, mountains. To me, it is an abstract study in ink.
This was drawn on the open momument day and I’d hoped I could go up the tower for a view of the city but it was shut so I drew the view of the interior.
This is pretty innacurate. I was sheltered from the rain for this sketch. I was wandering all over town, so many great views but only this one was out of the rain.
I’ll be having an exhibition in Karlsruhe from 11th April:
As I was drawing this two men dressed up and driving a classic Ford Thunderbird drove up, got out and filmed and interviewed me as part of their trans-Norway rally. I had to swear in Norwegian and they gave me a beer.
There’re so many buildings everywhere, I could choose any composition. This was an area of two-storey houses next to a tower block.
I was walking up and down the steps up to this bridge, along the bridge and finally sat underneath it, to get the best view.

I sat near another man on a stool with a view preparing a water container and plate. I asked if he was a painter but he was making his breakfast!

The owner of the boat on the left told me he bought it in the Netherlands and sailed it here. It was built in 1928 and he’s converting it into a house boat.
