The Gentleman on the right would have been 105 today but only had a short time left with us when I took "this" photograph in 1984. It was a reasonable silhouette of a family on a windy promenade in Blackpool but I wanted to add a bit more context where the sky and sea had become one. This stylised ink drawing was made when I mounted the negative in my enlarger and traced and coloured over the projected image.

En 1710, la très ancienne église menaçait de tomber en ruine. Une nouvelle église a été érigée et inaugurée en 1722. Puis cette nouvelle église a été détruite en août 1944. La toute nouvelle église Saint Pierre a été édifiée en 1960-1962.

n 1710, the very old church threatened to fall into ruin. A new church was erected and inaugurated in 1722. This new church was destroyed in August 1944. The new Saint Pierre church was built in 1960-1962.
