Par un bel après-midi du samedi 16 mai 2020 au bout quai du Pourquoi Pas.

Les chalutiers sont au port, déclinaison de couleurs : rouge, bleu, jaune, vert, violet, parme...

The trawlers are in harbour, a lot of colors: red, blue, yellow, green, purple, parme...

I hung around suspiciously checking this place out before I started sketching.

The owner asked if I was cold drawing his house and that I should come back when it’s warmer.

This was a commissioned drawing.

I got this far before it was time for breakfast.

I still love overhead cables.

I used to live 200 m from here and I never knew this place existed.

The STIHL service man come over for a look at the sketch and a chat. He’s been retired for a long time but he loves repairing classic chainsaws and still has the spares for them.

Drawn to the sound of a history tour. I heard from 42 till 1842!

The car is a mixture of different models as they weren’t at the red light long. I originally intended sitting outside to draw with view but sat in this bar was warmer with beer and food too.

The pub owners and their daughter walked past as I was sketching and came over for a look. I asked the landlady why it’s called The Dolphin. She said the River Fleet runs underground nearby. When I asked but did it have dolphins in it, the landlord said it did after a few pints.
