Immer noch mein Lieblingszug: Der D 408 von Nizza nach Moskau mit seinen fotogenen RZD Schlafwagen und dem PKP Speisewagen. Auch 2016 nimmt er noch seinen Weg über die Giselabahn. Am 20. März 2016 bezog ich bei Högmoos am Ufer der gestauten Salzach Position, um den Zug abzulichten. Pünktlich passierte die blitzsaubere 1116.050 mit ihrem Neun-Wagen-Zug die vorfrühlingshafte Fotostelle.

At the first day of their travel passengers can enjoy a glimpse at the alps of tyrol and Salzburg. At the 20th of March 2016 not only the tourists enjoyed the perfect weather conditions of a pre-spring day but also the photographers on the railroad track. I awaited the Russian night train at Högmoos near Zell am See. It was pulled by ÖBB's 1116.050 and passes the swelled Salzach river. Unfortunately the water wasn't calm enough to produce a reflection of the train...

I watched a family of Common Loons and was in awe of their beauty. Every mother has pretended to ignore their baby's cry to be fed. Nature has always made that difficult and babies know from birth that if you just get right in mum's face.....she will respond. You walk directly in front of her or in this case you swim directly in front of her.

Such a beautiful bird in its breeding plumage, the Common Loon. He was most uncooperative to turn just a bit more to show his lovely green hue.

Die Grünfinken sind die "vorsichtigsten" Vögel in meinem Garten. Es hat mehrere Monate gedauert bis sie nicht mehr sofort geflüchtet sind sobald sie mich entdecken und so konnte ich endlich dieses Männchen fotografieren. Gross bewegen darf ich mich aber noch immer nicht. Für diese Aufnahme habe ich mich eine dreiviertel Stunde in den Schatten gesetzt und gewartet.

Um das Bild besonders detailreich sehen zu können, drückt die Tasten l (kleines L) und F11. Beim vergrößern nur durch anklicken gehen viele Details verloren.

The Green Finches are the most cautious birds in my garden. It took some months till they did not took flight the moment they spotted me and I could take this photograph eventually. I must not move too much though. Hence I sat down in the shade for about three quarters of an hour and waited for the finch to drop by.

En mode nourissement... Suite...

Cette image a subit un recadrage de 45% afin de bien mettre l'emphase sur ce nourrissement où le parent donne une belle grosse larve de libellule à son petit. Nous avons été témoin de beaucoup de ces scènes pendant cette session de trois heures, toujours assez difficile à capter de par la vitesse du geste et de de part l'angle de vue. À notre connaissance, il n'y a pas eu de pêche de petits poissons ou de menés, pourtant bien abondant dans ce lac ensemencé. Les proies étaient toujours des insectes, particulièrement des larves de toutes sortes, abondantes en cette période de l'été.

neben dem "Hoch"blick zu den südlichen Garler Bergen bei dieser klaren Herbstsicht und inzwischen hat das Nebelmeer die Sicht frei gegeben auf die wunderbar gefärbten Herbstbäume.

I originally come from Ontario, loons abound there! Its one of the things I associate with Northern Ontario and the cottage. I didn't realize how much I would miss seeing these birds once I moved to Alberta. So, when I heard there were a few hanging out in Calgary, I jumped on it. I was thrilled to get these shots, and although some may not be perfect, I'm pretty happy with them! I couldn't decide which ones to post!

La maîtresse des lieux...

Cette image, captée quelques minutes avant celle que je vous ai présenté hier, tout juste avant que les petits grimpent sur le dos de la mère, bénéficiait d'une meilleure lumière de part la proximité que j'ai obtenue avec celle-ci et son plus vieux. Ce couple, comme c'est souvent le cas, occupe seul de leur espèce ce petit lac, dominant ce dernier de leur royale présence...

Immer noch ohne Eis und Schnee, aber mit der Hoffnung, das wir dieses Jahr noch einmal Winter bekommen. Letzte Tage haben wir hier auf Rügen fast winterliche Temperaturen. Wenn das so weiter geht, kommt bald die "Weise Landschaft".

Avant d'aller a Magog, nous avions étés en Mauricie, sur un lac il y avait un couple de huard avec un bébé, il n'y avait pas de location d'embarcation a ce lac, et l'on observais le petit de loin, ca commençais a m'agacé de voir les huards de loin, après avoir été a Magog, on retourne au parc de la Mauricie , avant on va acheter un petit bateau pneumatique en spécial a 15 dollars dans un magasin a rayon lollll je voulais aller a leur rencontre, embarque le bonhomme dans le petit bateau avec sa caméra et bien entendu une ceinture de sécurité, me voila parti sur le lac, un ptit peu de vent, pas grave go, go, pagaille je m'approche d'eux en prenant mes photos, ca va bien, ce que j'ignorais ils ne sont pas trop habituer de voir des humains sur ce lac, a comparer a Orford, je m'approche encore un peu, et le parent c'est surement dit c'est assez, lollll il plonge il cri ce met a courir sur l'eau, my god, je vais m'éloigner, il est a 20 pieds de moi il plonge et viens vers moi (j'ai déjà vu un huard frappé sur un kayak) heyyyy cé pas le temps qu'il vienne picossé le pneumatique, lollllll , il a fait ce manège plusieurs fois, j'ai vite compris qu'il était temps que je m'éloigne, oufff un ti peu agacant loll quand tu l'aperçois en dessous du pneumatique lolll, ca été une cocasse expérience, compte tenu des circonstances j'ai pris mes photos pas trop près, un bateau rigide est recommender loll, j'ai enfin vu un bébé,

Die letzten fünf vorhandenen M-Wagen werden im Krefeld immer noch sporadisch eingesetzt. Dabei schwankt die tägliche Anzahl zwischen null (besonders an Wochenenden) und drei bis vier. SWK 845 befindet sich auf dem Ostwall kurz vor dem Hauptbahnhof. Da hier - wie im Hintergrund zu sehen ist - zusätzlich die normalspurige U 76 der Rheinbahn nach Düsseldorf verkehrt, befindet sich hier ein Vierschienengleis.

The Great Northern Diver has been proven to dive to depths exceeding 50 meters to catch fish surfacing to swallow its prey whole . In the U.K. as many as (approx) 2500 of these birds visit our coast each year mostly around Scotland and even then often a good distance from shore so I was very lucky to find this one close to shore on Mersea island

Glad to seen this one that day

Zoals bij een vorige foto al vermeld, stond ik op dinsdag 20 juli 2021 langs het spoor in Langdorp, langs lijn 35. Door de hoge waterstand van de Demer waren de gebruikelijke fotopunten in Testelt en Zichem immers niet bruikbaar. Echt heel veel goederentreinen kwamen er die dag niet voorbij, mede veroorzaakt door de wateroverlast in Duitsland.

Een van de leukere treinen die die dag passeerde in Langdorp richting Duitsland was de afgebeelde trein van Lineas, die was samengesteld uit zowel containerwagens als ketelwagens. Ondanks het feit dat de tractie werd geleverd door de 'kale' Railpool-loc 186 427, fleuren de rode containers achter de loc de foto toch wat op.
