The backlit cloud served to enhance the dynamics of this display. Air Quality Index reached 201 (hazardous) at dawn but improved to around 100 (moderately unhealthy) at sunset.

ENG: Now the summer is already over and the autumn is knocking on the door. I just took this foggy weather motif with me this morning while jogging for you.
The Ernst Thälmann Monument on Greifswalder Straße in the Berlin district of Prenzlauer Berg is a colossal statue commemorating the KPD leader Ernst Thälmann. It was created in the years 1981-1986 by the Soviet sculptor Lew Kerbel and erected as part of the Ernst Thälmann Park. That is to say, this monumental monument weighing 50 tons, which shows the bust and raised fist of Thälmann in front of a worker's flag. Originally, the monument also included two steles, which have been on display in the Spandau Citadel since the 21st century. After the political change from the GDR to the FRG, there were repeated discussions about a possible demolition, but with the awarded monument protection in 2014 a directional decision was made for the preservation of the monument.

GER: Jetzt ist der Sommer auch schon wieder vorbei und der Herbst klopft an die Tür. Ich habe dieses neblige Wettermotiv heute Morgen beim Joggen für euch einfach mal mitgenommen.
Das Ernst-Thälmann-Denkmal an der Greifswalder Straße im Berliner Ortsteil Prenzlauer Berg ist eine Kolossalstatue, die an den KPD-Führer Ernst Thälmann erinnert. Sie wurde in den Jahren 1981–1986 vom sowjetischen Bildhauer Lew Kerbel geschaffen und als Teil des Ernst-Thälmann-Parks errichtet. Sprich dieses 50 Tonnen schwere Monumentaldenkmal, das die Büste und gehobene Faust Thälmanns vor einer Arbeiterfahne zeigt. Zum Denkmal gehörten ursprünglich auch zwei Stelen, die seit dem 21. Jahrhundert in der Zitadelle Spandau ausgestellt sind. Nach der politischen Wende von der DDR zur BRD gab es wiederholt Diskussionen über einen möglichen Abriss, jedoch wurde mit dem vergebenen Denkmalschutz im Jahr 2014 eine Richtungsentscheidung für den Erhalt des Monuments getroffen.

An image that I entered into my camera club recently, shot taken in the New Forest with my iPhone 11 Pro Max and recently re-worked.
These clouds were not associated with any weather system. No precipitation on radar. Generally, a mild calm evening prevailed across the region. Taken 7 May with iPhone 11 Pro Max.
ENG: Last Friday my family and I had a look at Bernau near Berlin and we enjoyed a delicious ice cream from the old town with the city wall.
You can see the powder tower in the city wall in Bernau near Berlin. The 29 meter high powder tower was a watchtower and was also called Bullenturm, because it stands at the former bull enclosure, which was built in the 17th century and probably became a city park in the 18th century. Access to the tower is at a height of 7 metres and is via a ladder. The town wall with towers and town gates was built around 1380. Around 1200, after the conquest of the area by the Ascanians, Bernau near Berlin was built. Bernau near Berlin today belongs to the district of Barnim in the state of Brandenburg and was then situated on the Via Imperii (Szczecin - Rome).

GER: Letzten Freitag habe ich mir mal mit meiner Familie Bernau bei Berlin ein wenig angeschaut und wir haben uns von der Altstadt mit Stadtmauer bei einem leckeren Eis den Tag versüßt.
Zu sehen ist der Pulverturm in der Stadtmauer in Bernau bei Berlin. Der 29 Meter hohe Pulverturm war ein Wachturm und wurde auch Bullenturm genannt, da er am ehemaligen Bullen-Gehege steht, dass im 17. Jahrhundert angelegt und wahrscheinlich im 18. Jahrhundert zum Stadtpark wurde. Der Zugang zum Turm liegt in einer Höhe von 7 Metern und erfolgt über eine Leiter. Die Stadtmauer mit Türmen und Stadttoren wurde um 1380 angelegt. Um 1200, nach Eroberung des Gebietes durch die Askanier, entstand Bernau bei Berlin. Bernau bei Berlin gehört heute zum Landkreis Barnim im Land Brandenburg und lag damals an der Via Imperii (Stettin - Rom).
ENG: Last night discovered on the way from work to home. You can see the Park Inn by Radisson Hotel and the television tower at Berlin Alexanderplatz.
Hoteliers throughout Germany are setting an example in the Corona crisis. Lights in hotel rooms are switched on in such a way that huge hearts are watching. The hosts are thus thanking all the people who are currently helping. In this beautiful action "Lights of Love", the windows of the guest rooms are currently illuminated in such a way that, when viewed from the outside, they reveal a heart.

GER: Letzte Nacht entdeckt auf dem Weg von Arbeit nach zuhause. Zu sehen ist das Park Inn by Radisson Hotel in Berlin am Alexanderplatz.
Hoteliers in ganz Deutschland setzen in der Corona-Krise ein Zeichen. Lichter in Hotelzimmern werden so eingeschaltet, dass riesige Herzen zusehen sind. Die Gastgeber bedanken sich damit bei all den Menschen, die derzeit Hilfe leisten. Bei dieser schönen Aktion "Lichter der Liebe" werden aktuell die Fenster der Gästezimmer so erleuchtet, dass sie von außen betrachtet ein Herz ergaben.

The Berlin Central Station is the most important passenger station in Berlin and also the largest tower station in Europe. The new opening of the tower and junction station took place on May 26, 2006. With around 330,000 travelers and visitors every day, it ranks fourth among Deutsche Bahn's busiest long-distance stations after Hamburg, Frankfurt (Main) and Munich and is one of the 21 stations in the highest price category 1. It is a long-distance station and regional train at the same time and also offers an integrated shopping center. The station currently has 14 platform tracks on an upper level as well as a lower level and around 1300 long-distance and regional trains as well as suburban trains and subway rains stop here every day. A further underground connection for the suburban train line S21 is currently under construction. Externally, the main station is connected to the tram and bus network.

Der Berliner Hauptbahnhof ist der wichtigste Personenverkehrsbahnhof in Berlin und zugleich der größte Turmbahnhof Europas. Die Neueröffnung des Turm- und Kreuzungsbahnhofs fand am 26. Mai 2006 statt. Mit täglich rund 330.000 Reisenden und Besuchern steht er nach Hamburg, Frankfurt (Main) und München auf Platz vier der meistfrequentierten Fernbahnhöfe der Deutschen Bahn und gehört zu den 21 Bahnhöfen der höchsten Preisklasse 1. Er ist Fernbahnhof und Regionalbahn zugleich und bietet auch ein integriertes Shopping Center. Der Bahnhof hat aktuell 14 Bahnsteiggleise auf einer Ober- sowie einer Unterebene und es halten hier täglich rund 1300 Züge des Fern- und Regionalverkehrs sowie der S-Bahn und U-Bahn. Ein weiterer unterirdischer Anschluss der S-Bahn Linie S21 ist aktuell im Bau. Extern ist der Hauptbahnhof an das Straßenbahn sowie Bus-Netz angeschlossen.

iPad edit using Snapseed of image captured with iPhone 11 Pro Max. Cloudy overcast following a downpour that drenched the hydrant apparently helped to bring forth the colors. On dry sunny days they are not nearly as dramatic.
Live Oak blanketed in its Resurrection Fern photographed moments after a thunderstorm. The multiple visible saw cuts attest to the incredible complex branch array that occurs without professional intervention.

On the weekend of Whitsun I allowed myself and my family a little rest at the Baltic Sea and on the way back I made a detour to the sculpture park Katzow.
The Katzow Sculpture Park is one of the largest in Europe with over 100 sculptures on an area of 20 hectares. It is located just outside Katzow in the district of Vorpommern-Greifswald. Sculptures by almost 100 artists from 23 countries can be found here in the Vorpommern landscape between Greifswald and Wolgast. The predominant material is wood and steel. Some of the sculptures have a dead weight of 20 tons and reach a height of 18 m. Thus they form a contrast to the wide landscape in which they stand.

Am Pfingstwochenende habe ich mir mit meiner Familie ein wenig Erholung an der Ostsee gegönnt und auf dem Rückweg einen Abstecher zum Skulpturenpark Katzow gemacht.
Der Skulpturenpark Katzow ist mit über 100 Skulpturen auf einer Fläche von 20 ha einer der größten in Europa. Er befindet sich etwas außerhalb von Katzow im Landkreis Vorpommern-Greifswald. Skulpturen von fast 100 Künstlern aus 23 Ländern, stehen hier in der vorpommerschen Landschaft zwischen Greifswald und Wolgast. Das vorwiegende Material ist Holz und Stahl. Die Skulpturen haben teilweise ein Eigengewicht von 20 t und erreichen eine Höhe von 18 m. Damit bilden sie einen Gegensatz zur weiten Landschaft, in der sie stehen.
