Each summer an exhibit called "Flutter" opens at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo in Cleveland, Ohio. This exhibit is housed in the public greenhouse located on zoo grounds. It features a large variety of plants and during the summer months is home to a large population of moths and butterflies. This is the first in a series of images taken at that exhibit this year. Previous year images can be found in my Flutter set.

Just a hint of French Watercolor Paper texture added to add some texture to the background.

Marzamemi is a beautiful fishing village in the province of Syracuse. The charm of this magical place lies in its history that oozes from the stones of its buildings. Here it seems you can really go back in time and enter into ordinary people’s life, who lived in an enchanted place where a Prince ran the business, and where the lives of wives, mothers, children, fishermen wove.

Marzamemi winds around Regina Margherita square. There are different opinions about the origins of the name. It can derive from the Arabic Marsà al hamen, which means bay of turtledoves, just because in spring many doves fluttered here and there through the village, or from Memi, which means small port.

A butterfly is such a magnificent creature for it beholds a beauty incomparable to others. This was taken during my trip to the little chapel last week. A male common blue.I don't shoot macro that much, but when I do, its really rewarding. You can get so lost in the moment, I probably have about 30 photos of this little one! As the sun dropped, the butterfly happily sat there being photographed.

The original had branches in the way, coming across the swan, and really dull water. So I changed it in photoshop. :) I was feeding this swan as well as his mate, two ducks and two geese. But this swan was a bully, chasing away the ducks and geese so his wife could have all the bread.

i genuinely apologize for my lack of existence recently. i have decided to attend savannah college of art and design in the fall. i am completely satisfied with this decision, i am looking forward to what i can create, the people who will inspire me, and the outrageous experiences georgia will provide. if you or someone who know is attending savannah college of art and design, please message me! i'd love to get in contact with my future classmates!

i want to thank all of you for your help and advice when i was making my college decision. many of you know my heart was set on new york, but new york can wait for me. i have an entire lifetime to experience as much as i can, and georgia will only make this extremely crucial point of my life more interesting.

this photo is my way of representing the butterflies that have consumed my life recently, realizing that i'm venturing into the world alone in a few months. this is terrifying, absolutely terrifying. the butterflies in my stomach only confirm the fact that i'm making the right decision, i'm taking risks, i'm doing something that is unfamiliar. the times that i remember having butterflies have been some of the best experiences of my life, so, here it goes.

while yolo has recently become the motto of many youth, my motto has transformed throughout the last four years of high school into something that encompasses my mission as a human being;
