The Sedum at Wind Point were just loaded with Skippers and Painted Ladies Butterflies. It was so cool to see them crowed onto the flowers.

My first attempt at a long exposure shot using a 10 stop filter accompanied by a number of grad filters. Whilst I'm not 100% happy with the outcome I still enjoy this image. I just wish the clouds that were fluttering about had come into shot.

I shot the winter butterfly bush yesterday and the butterfly two summers ago... all done through the wonders of photoshop. :) Although the flowers are, shall I say... hibernating, I still thought they were pretty. The bokeh was real in this shot, but the bottom right corner was plain, so I added Sue's Glorious Nature Art texture, Elements Dark(bw) to add bokeh in there. Also added my paint by numbers texture and two florabella actions, Vintage Haze(no haze) and Vintage Summer.

Isn't this gold butterfly a beauty?? It went so well with the color of the indian blanket flowers. Not sure what kind of butterfly it is, if anyone knows please identify for me!! Thanks and happy Monday!!

Energetic, quick moving and always fluttering its wings.

The very long tails are the hallmark of the summer brood. An early spring, multi-brooded butterfly with each successive brood displays bolder stripes and longer tails.

The chaffinches really liked the Flutter Butter we took up to Scotland for the Crested Tit's on our trip to the Cairngorms last month.

Birds love peanut butter, but the normal stuff that we eat is very bad for your garden birds as it contains too much salt. Flutter Butter is naturally low in salt and especially formulated peanut butter for garden birds.

Apologies for lack of comments from my last posting, had a sudden health scare but back up and catching up now.

This spicebush swallowtail was madly fluttering it's wing and it was nearly impossible to photograph. I think she may have been trying to lay some eggs on the dill. Time will tell.
