Fading Elegance candelabra and lace curtains give a shabby yet chic look on this old building found in North Carolina.
You never take
Take the time to really look
Look at the one
The one I really am
You try to fit
To fit me in a perfect box
You let me slip between the cracks
Now I've faded
into someone else
Made me someone I don't wanna be
Yeah I'm faded
My true colour's gone
Like a picture nobody sees
I'll bet you don't
Don't even know my favourite song
You tell me how
How I should wear my hair
You wanna change
Everything I ever was
Try to erase me
Till I'm not there

Autumn Sunset
I love thse types of sunsets. Slow, colorful fade into blue. Cold, but so lovely.

As the light faded this evening, we were treated to another flying visit to the Buddleia in our front garden from a Humming-bird Hawk-moth - such a treat to see at the end of October! HMM

While we're living, the dreams we have as children fade away
While we're living, the dreams we have as children fade away
While we're living, the dreams we have as children fade away
While we're living, the dreams we have as children fade away
Away, away, they fade away, away, away
They fade away, away, away, fade away, away, away.
Thanks again to my friend, Shirley Jones and her child-hood dolls!

“Feeling at peace, however fragilely, made it easy to slip into the visionary end of the dark-sight. The rose shadows said that they loved the sun, but that they also loved the dark, where their roots grew through the lightless mystery of the earth. The roses said: You do not have to choose. ”

Faded Glory
SP 319 on the point of a Eastbound Z on the BNSF Chillicothe Sub at Streator, IL this may be the last time that this may happen as there are only 5 unpatched units left.
Random photos today! Evie & I went to the beach today, it was windy and cool but sunny. Evie photos will follow :)
I came across this rose on the beach and had to take its photo, something quite beautiful yet sad at the same time. I wonder what the story is behind this rose? we'll never know.
A trio of Santa Fe Warbonnets (and two mundane Gevos...) lead the Madison Turn towards BNSF's Lindenwood Yard at Knox Ave. in St. Louis, MO. Just seconds before this shot was taken, some clouds came by and almost ruined the shot. Glad that didn't happen. These units are extremely faded, but are still going strong in 2019.
