I used to see civilian JetStars flying out of Palwaukee Airport as a kid, always thought they looked cool as hell. Even wearing sun-faded wraparound camo, they still look good.
If you were standing on the summit of Mt. Hood, You'd be watching the sunset behind the waves of the Pacific.

CN 8336 streaks past the long standing searchlight signals at the East end of Miworth siding, on CN's Nechako Subdivision in Northern British Columbia.
These signals were erected in 1983 after the existing steam era 2,250 foot long siding was lengthened as part of the 'BC Northeast Coal Development Plan'. CN's new operating plan for their BC North Line to Prince Rupert called for 6,200 foot sidings spaced approximately 12 miles apart, to allow for fluid movement of the soon to be frequent 100 car unit trains of export coal to Japan. Amongst the many changes this project brought to the formerly quiet secondary line, was the introduction of CTC control and signalling. Before this, train orders were still issued by hand, from numerous operators at remote depots along the line.
Almost four decades after being put into service, these signals are now dwindling in number on the BCNL. The 6,200 foot sidings which provided ample capacity for the standard unit trains of the 1980's and 90's, became the bottleneck to operations in the early 2010's. Port expansions at Prince Rupert to accommodate a massive increase in handling of marine shipping containers had been paying off for CN. The volume of traffic demanded more trains, or as the regime of CEO E. Hunter Harrison determined, less trains, but of a longer length. The passage of multiple trains per day in excess of the average siding length bogged down traffic flow. Subsequently siding extension projects began along the line, and with each project the adjacent Searchlights were replaced with modern colour light signals.
Today these Searchlight installations are in the minority on the BC North Line. These ones at Miworth are likely safe for the time being, as the sidings infrequent use due to it's proximity to the terminal at Prince George makes a costly siding extension unlikely. The Searchlights still standing in BC are not to be taken for granted though, so I suggest those who favor their aesthetic in photographs to make an effort to shoot them before they fade away.

Das Thema hier war Fade.
Wünsche allen einen guten Morgen.
I was trying out some new techniques with B&W aspens.
Other thing with these aspens, their are some designs, like a horse, penguin, human face, and bird with a long bill. Curious to see if you see others. Also wonder if people read what I write about the photos.

So, it's more of a border than a texture...but I made it from scratch and even used a brush (first brush ever attempted). It may look better in black and white but I think the hue is a little more dramatic.
Please credit me if used and it would be nice to leave a link or comment so I could take a look (and fave) the work done with it.
Feedback would be great :)
I also have a few others if you're looking, they are on my other account:
fading memories: we are all looking for something of extraordinary importance whose nature we have forgotten....
BNSF 1832, still sporting BN paint, races through Brookston, MN with the Superior - Grand Rapids turn. BN searchlights still guard the siding tracks here but, after Carlton's replacements showed up very recently, time will tell for how long.
With its striping quite faded, an ALP46 leads a northbound NJT train off the DOCK drawbridge between Newark and Harrison. This is likely train 3502 off the New Jersey Coast Line, although some guesswork is in play here with the tight headways.

Down below the city lights, where the sun don't ever show,
In the tunnels of Chicago, where the lonely people go,
Steel rails hum a lullaby, the rhythm of the lost,
In the shadows of the midnight, where the fading ghosts are tossed.
We're fading ghosts in the subway, where no one knows our name,
Carried by the echoes of a city filled with pain.
We’re fading ghosts in the darkness, moving slow but going fast,
In the Chicago L-Train where the future meets the past.
The trains keep on rolling, they don’t care where you have been,
They only know the journey, but not the hurt that lies within.
A young girl sits in silence, eyes locked on the floor,
She’s dreaming of escape, but she’s trapped behind closed doors.
Oh, the lights flicker like our spirits,
In this city made of steel,
And the sound of distant voices,
Is the only thing that's real.
We’re the echoes of the broken, the stories left untold,
Wandering these tunnels, forever feeling cold.
We're fading ghosts in the subway, where no one knows our name,
Carried by the echoes of a city filled with pain.
We’re fading ghosts in the darkness, moving slow but going fast,
In the Chicago underground, where the future meets the past.
And the train keeps moving onward, as the night gives way to day,
But the fading ghosts of Chicago, in the subway, there they stay.
Lost souls in the city, underneath the world's disdain,
Forever riding circles on this never-ending train.
