We know when the fade of night begins to fall upon the day it begins focus on another day and lay to rest the past as a part of history. Where did your history end?
May all of your tomorrows be a new beginning to add to your history.

I knew there was a reason why I haven't already thrown out these jonquils!
Rows of houses, all bearing down on me
I can feel their blue hands touching me
All these things into position
All these things we'll one day swallow whole
And fade out again and fade out

Went down to this beach to take a few shots but the conditions just weren't right, so decided to test out a new remote release anyway. This is one of test shots. Should have used a grad for the sky and should have used a different exposure for the water, but I did like the strong contrast in the rocks and the distant waves still give some interest. Thought I'd post anyway, since its bit different. Does give me a few ideas for future shots as well.

Perfect foggy photo weather last Sunday. The Kniebruecke bridge in hometown Duesseldorf fading away under the weather.

Mazzy Star - Fade Into You
I guess I was feeling a little mellow when I posted this one.
I wish we would have taken the ferry across Elliot Bay when we were there, next time for sure.
This was taken from the Seattle Great Wheel (ferris wheel) after sunset.
A trio of Santa Fe Warbonnets (and two mundane Gevos...) lead the Madison Turn towards BNSF's Lindenwood Yard at Knox Ave. in St. Louis, MO. Just seconds before this shot was taken, some clouds came by and almost ruined the shot. Glad that didn't happen. These units are extremely faded, but are still going strong in 2019.
Grand Teton NP. I really wanted to get closer to the Aspens and use a wide angle. My buddy pointed out the sign next to the road that expressed that we were not allowed to do so... Not the first time I used a telephoto lens for landscape. Probably not the last either.
Drifting and fading away into smoke.
Smoke is from an incense stick. You know, the smelly ones your granma has. Put an old black T-shirt as a backdrop and the SB600 Clopp lent me beneath the stick, facing away from the shirt. Inverted the colours in PS and did some curves. Very little processing was required.

Fading, wilting sunflowers in the garden of Restore's site at Fleet Meadow in Didcot. Symbols of Nature's passage into Autumn and Winter as they go to seed, but still majestic.

Here is one of many Midget Faded Rattlesnakes (Crotalus oreganus concolor) that I found at night in the desert of eastern Utah this summer. This one had an amazingly long tongue. These rattlesnakes are pretty secretive and almost completely nocturnal in the warmer months of the year so they are not often seen by most people but they are pretty common across almost all of Eastern Utah. These snakes have a very potent venom and as their name suggests, they don't usually get very big.

for Kim Klassen's Texture Tuesdsay. Processed this rather quickly this morning. I think I should have had a bit more dof or a bit sharper in the middle, but I'm going with it . . . all day meetings at work for the next 4 days, uggh. I need to hit the gym before work to get up a little energy and attitude to make it through :)
