Then summer fades and passes and October comes. We'll smell smoke then, and feel an unexpected sharpness, a thrill of nervousness, swift elation, a sense of sadness and departure.

One lonely cloud was left on the horizon. It was a beautiful evening after a day with overcast sky. And there was nothing but silence.

Many thanks for your visits / comments / faves!
This corn field in the city of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, is dressed in harvest attire. I looked into the setting sun over the field from my car as I waited for the traffic light to signal my advance. The scene seemed worthy of Flickr. With my camera by my side I quickly framed the image and snapped before driving on.

Dead or dying trees don’t always need to be removed, if they are located in a forested area or away from people and structures. These trees can serve as a home and refuge for woodpeckers and other wildlife. In addition, its nutrients enrich the soil near decaying wood, helping new plants to grow and keeping living ones healthy as the nutrients are reabsorbed.
I saw this tree in the park last year and felt so sad. No signs of life, it was rotting and full of fungi. Trees are my favorite gifts from nature.
Once they were bright blue, but as they start to die they go through a sequence of green, red and purple that is quite magical. Finally of course they end up a light yellow ochre colour. And I love to shoot them at every stage .. they never really 'die' 😊

In wireless communications, a fading channel is a communication channel that experiences signal loss. Fading is the variation in attenuation experienced by a signal and depends on multiple variables, these variables can be due to multipath propagation, weather (especially rain), geographical position, natural or artificial obstacles and the system operating frequency.
When making this urban capture and based on this that I have commented, it occurred to me to make this somewhat particular edition to the image.
