A second upload from last Saturday's long exposure shoot with the Lee Big Stopper. The rain prevented many angles but this worked out ok, shooting with my back to the rain and close to the BBC Sports building for protection at MediaCity UK on the other side.
I think I'm becoming more like L.S. Lowry himself with my desaturated images at the moment - I'm just missing his Prussian Blue.
An abandoned schoolhouse in the rural area outside of the The Dalles, Oregon. Digital scan of 5x7 negative, 1930's Ansco Agfa standard view camera, Topcor 210mm f/5.6 lens, Arista EDU 400 in Rodnial. Note light leaks on bottom left and along right side - it's always something...
"The very concept of objective truth is fading out of the world. Lies will pass into history.” ~ George Orwell.
I'm feeling much better after my bout with a virus that may or may not have been H1N1, but I'm still not at 100%. I didn't get out walking with the camera this weekend, and won't be able to on Sunday. I tried finding a shot while driving through the Arboretum in the fog today, but nothing popped up to shoot. So... you get this one from the archives.
Taken last September. Officially we have another month left to winter. Ugh. I really do miss summer.
CN 4761 & CN 4904 lead a short transfer into the Port of Montreal. The paint on CN 4761 is already fading.
These flowers always catch my eye, but there’s something about this one in its final days. It’s lived a life of beauty, and even in its fading, there’s beauty still.
Found this car at the Flee Market. It's a pretty cool car. Wish I could take it home and fix it up. I like older cars, anything built before the 21st Century.

Window of an old cottage with faded artificial flowers & some serious cobwebs across the middle panes! I'm fairly sure nobody lives there now. Taken on my iPhone4. Happy Window Wednesday everyone.
This is photo 3 of 5 photographs I took just as a rainstorm ended and the sun came out, near sunset. The first two are already in my photostream.
I saw the eerie light outside from my window and ran out to take the photos in the 5 minutes I had left before it faded.

For the first time in years I have been in Otley in August and I have seen the heather getting to its prime. The thing is that a couple of weeks ago I sprained my ankle playing squash and I have had to agonise over how long I need to give my ankle to recover before I can head out! In the last few days the colour looking at it from our house, has become a little less vibrant and I finally accepted that this year wasn’t going to happen. Anyway, this morning the forecast was for low cloud and I couldn’t resist it, I promised myself that I would keep to the path and I was to be VERY careful with my ankle. So tanked up on pain killers and with good intentions I headed to higher ground, (colder and more chance of the colour been at its best) and I headed to Ilkley Moor. Well the misty conditions were perfect, the heater was in full flower and there was hardly anybody around! My luck was in! Anyway I hobbled around for an hour before my ankle started to give me a bit of bother and I decided to call it a day. It would be so good to get a sunset in in the next few days, but I guess I will have to see how the ankle is and to see if the weather plays ball before the flowers fade…
