Rolls-Royce Merlin 68 aero engine, aero gallery, Deutsches Technikmuseum, Berlin 26-10-13. Straight out of the box, which has 'Gainsborough' written on it. Liquid cooled supercharged V-12 cylinder engine. Went into production circa 1936 and varients powered many aircraft including the Spitfire and Lancaster.

The old Baldwin locomotive sits on a section of display track downtown next to the historic train depot on East Route 66.
As an orange and yellow BNSF Railway engine speeds behind it on active track, the older engine is motionless, frozen in a time when it hauled cut timber out of local forests.

Three (two covered) MTU diesel engines for Blue Heron Cruises vessel ‘Blue Heron 8’, MetalCraft Marine, Kingston, Ontario, Canada. The engine is model 10V 2000 M72 made by MTU, Friedrichshafen, Germany. Each engine is 900 kW or 1205 bhp.
Engine is modelled with great detail, with all the wires, carbs and even cooling pipes and an oil filter. Handled beutifully thanks to all round double wishbone suspension and a front-mid engine layout (not dissimilar to HONDA S2000). It has an inline 6-cylinder engine with the first ever for Toyota dual overhead cam head. 150bhp was serious sports car performance back in 1967, it beat the competition (including the Porsche 911). This engine (2M) spawned the great Toyota inline 6-cyl series, and eventually evolved into both the 7M-GTE (Supra Mk3) and the 2JZ-GTE (Supra Mk4).

I found this car at Mike's Classic Cars, in Blair Nebraska. This one is a restored '66, but they had a unrestored original back in '08, in green (well that was a 500XL) that I cried for not being able to buy. Even had dog dishes, and red line Wide Ovals.
The Galaxie 500 7 Litre Hardtop is my all time favorite car, and my Dream Car since I was old enough to like cars (about one day old). If I were at car buying age by 1966, I would buy one, brand new, in Raven Black, with the red interior, and ask for the "R" code 427 dual quad 427 engine, and Top Loader tranny. YES I CAN burn rubber on all four gears!!!!!
