About 40 minutes after getting its warrant to run south from Ottumwa, IC&E train MSPKC rolls south below a county road bridge at Blakesburg, IA. The former Milwaukee Road line through southern Iowa is hilly, so the 6457 and her mates have a little work on their hands.

Around 1:30 am, a car carrying four occupants was involved in an accident along Rt. 88 in Elco. Upon arrival, we found one trapped in the vehicle, two ejected, and one walking around (SEAT BELT). One of the ejected victims along with the occupant walking was flown by helicopter to the hospital. The other victim ejected... and the victim trapped were pronounced dead at the scene.

Hope the seller was honest and this is a good engine. all I can do is install it and hope for the .best. Compression was good.

This 2-4-0 engine is based on one from around 1890 era. I quite liked the original and it was very hard to capture the look. The main thing that I had to compromise on was height. The real engine had skirts over the large driver wheels that came down almost half way. This was not possible in LEGO 7 stud wide as there was not enough clearance. I did originally build it 8 studs wide to try and accommodate this, but it looked way too blocky as it is quite short and the wheel coverage was minimal due to the amount of room taken up by the connecting rods. However to get the details in I wanted the whole thing is probably about 4 plates thickness taller than it would otherwise have been. I am please though with the way I managed to incorporate a 4.5V light brick and make it look like proper lanterns with the use of two headlight bricks. Also I think the tender looks pretty much like the real thing, although again it is a little too high, not much choice there though as those older style batteries are quite big.

I had a blown head gasket, so i pulled the engine to make that easier. I had teh transmission rebuilt while the engine was out. I replaced all the suspension bushings, new lowered springs, shocks, and brake rotors.
San Jose Fire Department responded to reports of a garage fire on Topaz Ave in May 2012. First in units reported the house well ablaze and the Delta exposure already ablaze. A second alarm was immediately struck.
The fire continued to threaten an exposure on the Charlie side, and a 3rd alarm was called to deal with the out of control fire.
The house of origin was destoyed while two adjacent properties suffered various levels of damage as a result of the blaze. 7 people were displaced, but there were no reported injuries.

I was going to the club tonight and just as I had parked the car, this Engine pulls up behind me. They were responding to a barrel fire on the beach walkway. It wasn't enough for me to go shoot the firefighters fighting a fire with a handheld extinguisher for me to go shoot them..
