In the ghost town of Sandon, British Columbia sits this steam engine.
The steam engine was built in the year 1908 for the Canadian Pacific Railroad by the Montreal Locamotive Works at the cost of $18,422. It worked until the year 1968 when it was finally retired.

Narrow gauge steam locomotive 99 1793 at the coaling station in Freital-Hainsberg, Saxony state, Germany, to be prepared for the next train service to Kipsdorf.
I attended the "Antique Flywheel Engine & Tractor Show" sponsored by the "Florida Flywheeler's Antique Engine Club" located at 7000 Avon Park Cutoff Road, Fort Mead, FL 33841 on Friday February 21, 2020.
This Photograph shows a strange looking (regarding mounting provisions) Antique Flywheel Engine on Display at the Antique Flywheel and Tractor Show, Fort Meade, Florida. I don't know what that Silver Ball could be ? Maybe an Expansion Tank ?

This Place is HUGE ! - - One of the attendants told me it is approx 480 ACRES !
I came across some training the other day that involved the Cosumnes Services District Fire Department, the Herald Volunteer Fire Department and the Walnut Grove Volunteer Fire Department. They were using an abandoned building that was slated for destruction.
I discovered this spanking new mid-engine Corvette in my church parking lot on December 8, 2019 as I was arriving for the service. The car is undergoing testing by a GM employee.

The original image was very poor and I was going to wipe it but then decided to see if putting it through Photomatix coud bring some life into it. The result, although not perfect is better than expected!
The 250cc engine with overhead valves was made exclusively for this Coventry firm by Blackburne of Tongham near Farnham in Surrey.

The ultimate incarnation of Rover's gas turbine attempts was in partnership with the Owen Organisation that supplied two modified BRM grand prix chassis and their two F1 drivers, Graham Hill and Ritchie Ginther. The car was first entered for the Le Mans 24 hour race in 1963, and it achieved it's best result of 10th place in the 1965 race with Hill and Jackie Stewart driving.

Designed by Edward Turner was a 2547 cc V8 single overhead cam shaft with alloy push rods and a hemispheric aluminum head with a five bearing crank and an output of 140 bhp. Originally called a Daimler Dart the car made its debut at the 1959 New York Motorshow but following a threat of legal action from Chrysler's Dodge division that name was quickly dropped
The original a spec version was built on a 14 gauge ladder frame with cruciform bracing with optional bumpers and was capable of 120 mph however the chassis flex could cause the doors to open
Jaguar bought Daimler in 1960 and concerned about this flexing rushed out a B spec version with extra outriggers on the chassis and a stiffening hoop as well as other detailed improvements
A C spec followed in 1963 with more improvements. During its production run 2645 were produced. Jaguar did build a replacement prototype but opted not to put it into production and Ogle Design built a Coupe version which went on to become the Reliant Scimitar

It's not clear to me if this Kaiser is a Special Traveler or a DeLuxe Traveler. They share the same engine.
Note the subtle indentation in the top edge of the rear window. The windshield also had this novelty.
The Kaiser-Frazer Corporation was formed in July 1945 by two successful businessmen Henry J. Kaiser (1882-1967) and Joseph W. Frazer (1892-1971).
Immediately after the war their industrial activities changed to develop and produce cars.
In the first three years the Kaiser-Frazer Corp. was quite successful. The company offered cars simultaneously under two different brand names: Frazer and Kaiser. The sub-companies shared bodies and technics.
The first cars appeared in August 1946.
New for 1949 was the Traveller Utility Sedan. This was a combination of a kind of commercial hatchback with a station wagon. The car had a back door which opened in two parts. The backseat could easily folded down to create cargo space. Industrial designer Howard "Dutch" Darrin (USA, 1897-1982) had a main influence on the styling, but the designs were revised by Robert Cadwallader.
Alex Tremulis (USA, 1914-1991) joined the design team in 1950 (after the 1948 Tucker failure).
For model year 1951 Kaiser offered a restyled Special and DeLuxe range, with a very low belt-line.
Production of the Kaiser model year 1951 started already in March 1950. This was a half year ahead of other car brands.
For 1951 and 1952 the Traveler Utility Sedan was available as two and four door version.
The Deluxe Traveler Utility Sedan replaced the 1949-50 Vagabond Utility Sedan for model year 1951.
